GOT7 Lightstick Version 2 Unboxing

Recently, I managed to track down an official GOT7 Lightstick that was sold around the time of the Eyes on You Tour in 2018. Back during that time, I ordered one, but then the release date kept getting pushed back, and it never came in time for the concert. As such, I eventually ended up canceling the order and then decided recently that I needed it. Keep reading to find out what comes with the lightstick, my thoughts, and where you can pick up one for yourself.

Things to know about the GOT7 Lightstick:

  • This is the Version 2 of the lightstick. If you want to read about Version 1, you can read that here.
  • Between the versions, the main thing that changed is the overall design of the lightstick. With verison 2, the lines are much more smooth.
  • This lightstick is called “The Bird Lightstick” or the 아가봉 (Aghabong) after the group’s fandom name “아가새 (IGOT7)” , which sounds like the word for bird in Korean.
  • When did this version debut
  • Things that come with the lightstick:
    • Lightstick
    • Lightstick strap
    • Manual
  • Lightstick Modes:
    •  Normal mode:
      • On
      • Blink
      • Flicker
      • Off
    • Bluetooth mode (Used for concerts, and controlled by staff)

K-Points: 167/5

I really love GOT7, and was so excited to finally get one of the Version 2 lightsticks. With the group splitting up, it made me want to make sure that I have all of their stuff even more than I did before. So, this was one hole in my collection I needed to fill in. I am very happy to have this, and cannot wait to pull together a full display with all of my lightsticks (coming soon – hopefully).

If you want to watch me fangirl, I do also post reactions over on my YouTube Channel. I have posted one for GOT7 Eclipse, which you can watch below:

So should you get yourself this lightstick? Since GOT7 has all gone off to separate agencies, and the lightsticks haven’t been produced since 2018, it is incredibly hard to find one for a decent price. Additionally, who knows if the group will tour again. Hopefully, if we are lucky, we will get another comeback with the group, and I hold out hope. I do think there will be a wait though.

Where Can I Buy It?

Although I don’t remember where I got this lightstick, I pick up many of my lightsticks from Music Plaza LA. You can look at the lightsticks that they have here. Additionally, if you have never used Music Plaza before, this link will get you an extra 5% off of your first purchase! You can also order one from eBay, as they typically have good prices, but please be cautious and check the shipping location to confirm if they are real or fake ones. This link will help you with your search. Plus, with eBay, you can save a little bit of money by using the Rakuten extension on your browser, as it will save you 1% on all album purchases, which definitely adds up!

What is Rakuten?

Rakuten is a cashback site that gives you money for purchases you may have already made. They even have an extension for multiple browsers so when you go to a website that uses Rakuten, it will automatically pop up the cashback button to make sure you are saving money. I use this all the time, and I got over $80 back from them for purchases I was going to make anyway. That’s about 3 more albums I can buy!

If you’ve never used Rakuten before, you can use this link to get $10 when making a qualified purchase of $25 when using Rakuten. You will also get whatever percent cashback is being offered from the site you are purchasing from.  Sephora, typically has 4% cashback, through here. Ulta typically has 3%. These are just some of the companies on the website, but there are other major retailers on there as well!

Rakuten also has a Google Chrome extension that will tell you as soon as you log onto a site that has cashback with a little pop-up in the corner so that you can ensure you are saving money!

Can I get it on Amazon?

Yes! You can pick up one using this link for around 60 dollars, with free shipping if you have Amazon Prime. If you don’t have Amazon Prime, you can get a 30-day free trial using this link here. I will not lie, the free 2-day shipping, plus all of the free music and videos are totally worth it. I also now use it for books for my Kindle Paper White too, and it is honestly a lifesaver. They have a program called Kindle Unlimited where you can check out 10 books at a time, read them, and put them back in the Kindle library. The program costs $7.99 a month, and you get the first 30 days for free with this link.
