KLAVUU Nourishing Care Lip Sleeping Pack Review

I have no idea how I haven’t posted about this product yet! I’ve gone through at least 4 of these, and yet somehow a post was never made. So, today I will finally tell you my thoughts on the KLAVUU Nourishing Care Lip Sleeping Pack. Keep reading to learn more about the product, the Koreans and my thoughts, and where you can find one yourself.

Things to know about KLAVUU Nourishing Care Lip Sleeping Pack :

KLAVUU’s philosophy as a brand is that ‘clean’ does not always equal “better’. They know that byproducts many times contain more active ingredients than the true raw form of the ingredient. So, KLAVUU prides itself on using sustainable, scientific methods to create products that are stress-free and easy to use for consumers.

There are 3 (used to be 4) flavors of the KLAVUU Nourishing Care Lip Sleeping Pack:
  • Vanilla
  • Berry
  • Coconut
  • Unscented (not sure if this one still exists)
This product is formulated with the following ingredients that are good for your skin:
  • Ricinus Connumis (Castor) Seed Oil is known for being hydrating to skin and can help prevent wrinkles. It is also incredibly beneficial for chapped lips
  • Ceresin is a naturally occurring mineral wax that helps bind products together and prevents liquid and oil parts in lip products from separating. Additionally, it can help condition dry, cracked skin.
  • Pyrus Malus (Apple) Seed Oil is a type of oil that can not only help fight free radicals and improve skin’s hydration.
  • Camellia Japonica Seed Oil is an ingredient that when applied to the skin can help skin retain collagen and is rich in antioxidants.
  • Jojoba Seed Oil is rich in Vitamins A, E, and D and it has many skin benefits that allow it to mimic our own skin. Additionally, all of these good things help keep moisture in your skin.
  • Vitamin E is an ingredient that is great for those who want more moisture added to their skin. It is an antioxidant and it can help prevent sebum building up on the skin.
This product is formulated with the following ingredients that are “bad”* for your skin:
  • Fragrance which should only apply if you have a known sensitivity or allergy to fragrances
Who is this product good for?
  • Anyone who wants moisturized lips

K-Points: 10/10

So, for beauty reviews, unlike my album unboxings, I will be much harsher on because this can directly impact your health, where buying K-Pop albums does not. It just impacts your wallet. As such, all of my beauty reviews will be out of 10 points. I will not be going over that number.

This is honestly one of my favorite K-Beauty products I have tried to date. This lip pack is incredibly nourishing, but also not super sticky when you put it on your lips. The next morning, when you wake up, your lips are nice and soft without dryness. This is one of my holy grail products that I have repurchased many times and will continue to purchase until I find something better. Also, I will mention that I like the vanilla flavor and the unscented one better than the berry. It is nicer to my lips when they are already irritated.

What are the Koreans saying?

I was digging through reviews on 화해 (Hwahae)**, a Korean skincare app that lists out the ingredients of products from many brands for people to look through as well as post reviews. For all four scents, here are the rankings of the lip sleeping mask:

  1. Vanilla Flavor (4.82 out of 5 stars – 11 reviews)
  2. Unscented (4.45 out of 5 stars – 11 reviews)
  3. Berry Flavor (3.50 out of 5 stars – 2 reviews)
  4. Coconut Flavor (3.50 out of 5 stars – 2 reviews)

Where Can I Buy It?

Whenever I buy K-Beauty, I shop at a couple of different places. If you want to see all of the places that I shop at, you can check them all out here.  Plus, with some of the places where I buy K-Beauty, you can also use Rakuten for cash back off of your purchases on their site.

What is Rakuten?

Rakuten is a cashback site that gives you money for purchases you may have already made. They even have an extension for multiple browsers so when you go to a website that uses Rakuten, it will automatically pop up the cashback button to make sure you are saving money. I use this all the time, and I got over $80 back from them for purchases I was going to make anyway. That’s about 3 more albums I can buy!

If you’ve never used Rakuten before, you can use this link to get $10 when making a qualified purchase of $25 when using Rakuten. You will also get whatever percent cashback is being offered from the site you are purchasing from.  Sephora, typically has 4% cashback, through here. Ulta typically has 3%. These are just some of the companies on the website, but there are other major retailers on there as well!

Rakuten also has a Google Chrome extension that will tell you as soon as you log onto a site that has cashback with a little pop-up in the corner so that you can ensure you are saving money!

*I put bad in quotes here because everything is subjective. Just because an ingredient that may have some amount of research on it that it can cause issues in the skin exists in a product says nothing about how it is processed and refined when making the product. It also says nothing about where that particular ingredient came from and the quality of that ingredient. It’s just like with cooking you can have all the same ingredients to start, but depending on what you do with those ingredients, you can get two completely different end products. Liah Yoo, a YouTuber and now the owner of the brand Krave Beauty, made an excellent video talking about this.

**Note: 화해 still only exists in Korean, but some of the products can be searched for in English.
