Twice What is Love? Album Unboxing

twice what is love

My copy of  Twice’s mini album, What is Love?, took ages to come in the mail! It is finally here though, and I’m excited to show you the album. I did write my impression of the music already. You can read it here. Now, it is time to talk about the album and the photo book that comes with it. The reason I ended up buying a copy of the album is that it came with a “bonus” song entitled “Stuck”. As is typical of Twice, it is cute.

You can pick up a copy of this album on Choice Music for $17.99 plus shipping and handling here. Amazon also has copies for about $23 plus free shipping here. After shipping, the cost should be about the same. Choice does ship internationally too. If you cannot find a copy in your country, I highly recommend you check there. Their staff are all super cool too.

Things to know about this album:

  • There are 2 versions:
    • A Version (pink cover)
    • B Version (shown here)
  • Things that come with this album:
    • CD (9 random versions, one of each member)
    • 5 random photo cards (90 different versions)
    • 1 scratch photo card (9 versions)
    • lyric book
    • clear post card (9 versions)
    • film strip sticker (9 versions)
    • Pre-order benefits:
      • Event Cards (there are only 300 of them)
      • 10 photo card set (A version/B version). I have the B version.
      • Poster. I didn’t get one, as Twice will never hang up on my wall, no matter how adorable they are.
  • The photo book is very cute. For some reason Mina is holding dragon fruit in the photos. I thought that was really strange, and totally unexpected.
  • I also really love some of their outfits. They’re super cute, and slightly sexy, but also wearable at the same time.

K-Points: 381/5

Even though the packaging is very cute, for me, I was a bit underwhelmed with it. It felt very standard. The previous album, Twicetagram, which was in my 10 best budget albums to start a collection post (you can read it here) was a bit more unique. Yes, the photo book was smaller, but the fact that you could customize the cover was awesome. On top of that, because the other version was advertised as being 100% pink, I was not going to buy it. To be honest, I really don’t like super girly things like that.

Do I think you should still buy a copy of this album? Yes, mainly for the album exclusive track. The album is cute too, but for someone who has a ton of albums, this one’s packaging doesn’t stand out to me as spectacular. Can you just stream it? Absolutely. The extra song isn’t anything extremely special.
