Seventeen 17 Carat Unboxing

seventeen carat

Time for another “retro” album unboxing! Today we are going to talk about Seventeen 17 Carat. This is the first release from Seventeen, as well as the mini album with아낀다 (Adore U) on it, their first hit. This was released in 2015, so it is only 3 years old, but considering it still feels like yesterday that Seventeen was a rookie group.

I picked up my copy of this album on Amazon for $15.44 plus free shipping with Amazon Prime. You an get a copy of it here.

If you don’t have Amazon Prime, you can get a 30 day free trial using this link here. I will not lie, the free 2 day shipping, plus all of the free music and videos are totally worth it. I also now use it for books for my Kindle paper white too, and it is honestly a life saver. They have a program called Kindle Unlimited where you can check out 10 books at a time, read them, and put them back in the kindle library. The program cost $7.99 a month, and you get the first 30 days for free with this link.

Things to know about Seventeen 17 carat:

  • The album comes with the following:
    • CD
    • Lyric poster
    • Photocards of each of the members with messages and signatures on the back
  • I actually really enjoy the packaging of this album. It is interesting
  • I enjoy how the lyric poster is folded like it is a note that you would put on someone’s desk in middle school
  • I also love how bad ass all the Seventeen members look in their headshots. They are like giant flash cards to teach yourself the members names.

K-Points: 210/5

I really like this album and the concept that Seventeen went with for their first album. It is a very rocker look, which I feel like we see revived with Seventeen in Teen, age. That album is still on of my favorites from Seventeen. So, why did it only get 210 out of 5 K-Points? Although this is pretty epic for a first release, looking back on the group, the packaging for some of their other albums is way better. I still really like this one, but it isn’t one that I pick up as a stand out when I want to show someone how cool K-Pop albums are.

Should you purchase a copy of this album? Unless Seventeen is your bias group, this one is more of a back fill for me. You can still stream it, and absolutely should! The music is still really good, and that is what is important.
