Red Velvet is queens through and through. After Wendy was injured, I was unsure of how long it was going to be before the ladies were back as a full group. In 2021, they finally blessed our ears when they returned with Red Velvet Queendom: The 10th Mini-Album. So, I had to get a copy of the album. Keep reading to find out what comes with the album, my thoughts, and where you can pick up a copy.
Things to know about the Red Velvet Queendom: The 6th Mini-Album:
This mini-album coincides with their seven-year anniversary as a group, after a year and 8 month hiatus as a full group. For K-Pop groups, this is a huge anniversary, as it means the group has passed “the seven-year curse” which is when many groups disband as their contracts expire.1 The title track, “Queendom” is a dance-pop song. It marked the group’s 13th Top Ten song in Korea and the group’s 17th top ten entry on the Billboard World Album Sales Charts.

Honestly, I can’t think of a reason that I’m not excited about this album. First, it’s their first comeback as a full group in close to two years (thanks SBS for that). Second, the ladies look absolutely amazing in the photos. Third, the music is really good on the mini-album. It show a bunch of different sides to the members. Honestly, it’s just nice to hear all their voices together again.
