Kanto Repetition Unboxing

kanto repetition

Mid-May, you may have read my review of Kanto’s new mini-album, Repetition. If you did not read that, you can do so here. I enjoyed his new mini-album so much that I went and purchased a copy of it so that I can add it to my album collection. It just came in the mail last weekend, meaning it is time for an unboxing.

I picked up my copy of this from Choice Music for $17.99 plus shipping and handling. Shipping is only like 2 bucks for the continental US. You can also pick up a copy from Amazon here with free shipping for Prime Members. If you don’t have Amazon Prime, you can get a 30 day free trial using this link here. I will not lie, the free 2 day shipping, plus all of the free music and videos are totally worth it. Prime really is worth it.

Things to know about the Kanto Repetition Album:

  • The album comes with the following:
    • CD
    • 72(ish) page photo book
    • Photo card
    • Sticker sheet (YAAAASSS Stickers)
  • The photo book is full of pictures of Kanto in brightly colored clothing.
  • When you look at the side of the album, it looks like rainbow sherbet (Things you notice as you pick the album up out of your bag)
  • All these bright colors are interestingly mixed with burgundy and navy blue. Not sure if I like the addition of that. It might be too many colors for me.
  • Even though he’s trying to look really cool, all he looks is quirky in a number of the photos. It’s really cute. I approve.
  • I don’t like how the photo book opens on the left-hand side.  Because of this, I feel like the album gets too wide. They should have bound it on the other side.

K-Points: 389/5

Despite the fact that I really like the album itself, I’m not a big fan of the packaging. I think the color palette for the photo book adds too many colors, and I don’t like how it was bound. It’s just too much. I do like the adorable stickers and photo card though. I feel like the concept was an odd mix of cute but also trying to be cool at the same time. It would have been wise to pick one or the other.

Should you buy a copy of this album? Not necessary in my opinion. I do like the stickers, and it’s an okay photo book, but it doesn’t have me saying that you all need this. Should you still stream the album? Absolutely. The music is really good, and I do still listen to it a few weeks later. It makes me jam out.
