BTS Love Yourself: Tear Unboxing

bts love yourself tear

I may have mentioned this in my review of their album, but I’m so proud of BTS. As a foreign group, they have managed to make it to the top of the charts in the US with BTS Love Yourself: Tear. They were almost there with Love Yourself: Her, but they didn’t get there like they did this time. Coming from a smaller Korean agency, it is amazing what they have managed to do with the power of music.

I picked up my copies of Love Yourself: Tear at Choice Music. You can get the 4 version set for $68.99 plus shipping here, which is actually not bad. There are also individual ones for$16.99 plus shipping here. You can also get it off of Amazon for $22.99 with free shipping here if you have Prime. If you don’t have Amazon Prime, you can get a 30 day free trial using this link here. I will not lie, the free 2 day shipping, plus all of the free music and videos are totally worth it. Prime really is worth it.

    • There can be a limited edition special photo (I did not get any)
    • Posters (shown after their respective versions
  • First half of the photo book is photos, second half is lyrics etc.
  • The second half appears to be the same in all of them
  • The set used in “Y” looks like the end of 봄날  (Spring Day)
  • “O” design is my personal favorite, it has a bit of a bad boy flair that I dig.
  • “U” is very clean, and they look like they’re in dream state
  • “R” looks like they popped out of Full Hose and became best friends with DJ Tanner. So much denim on denim going on here!
  • The design on the front of Love Yourself: Her, goes right into Love Yourself: Tear
  • The designs on the spines also work together (see last 2 images)

K-Points: 588/5

Man does BTS know how to make me want to spend more money. Not only did they put out a completely new album, with all brand new music in about 7-8 months, but they are also creating this great story line between all of the music as well as the albums themselves. I love how all of the covers tie in with each other. All of the different photo books between the albums also help reinforce the story of the journey that one takes to learn to accept themselves. They go from dream like, brightly colored photos to those that are more realistic.

Should you buy a copy of this album? Absolutely. It is extremely well done, musically and physically. Can you just stream it? Absolutely! You should always listen to good music, and this is top notch. I like every track on the album. You can hear the mood change from song to song, as it takes you on part of their journey. To be honest it is so good that I can’t pinpoint my #1 song on it.
