EXO Love Me Right Japan Release Unboxing

exo love me right

When I said that I had a lot of EXO, I was not joking. They are my number one K-Pop Group, so I own far too many things with their faces on them. The EXO Love Me Right Japan Release is one of many. Why did I buy it? Because it has Chanyeol’s face on it. Did I need it? I wish I could say yes, but the rest of the world would probably say no. I ridiculously rationalized the utility of having this album in my collection based on Chanyeol’s face bringing me joy. Honesty is my specialty.

I picked up my copy of this album on Amazon, I want to say. She momentarily stops typing to dig through her Amazon purchases, then spends 70$ on candles before she remembers what she initially went on for. Yes, yes it was off of Amazon. The only version of the album that is currently in stock on Amazon is the Kai version for $32.99, plus free shipping for Amazon Prime members.

If you don’t have Amazon Prime, you can get a 30 day free trial using this link here. I will not lie, the free 2 day shipping, plus all of the free music and videos are totally worth it. I also now use it for books for my Kindle paper white too, and it is honestly a life saver. They have a program called Kindle Unlimited where you can check out 10 books at a time, read them, and put them back in the kindle library. The program cost $7.99 a month, and you get the first 30 days for free with this link.

Thing to Know about the EXO Love Me Right Japan Release:

  • There are 9 versions of this album, one for each member:
    • Baekhyun
    • Chanyeol (shown)
    • Chen
    • D.O.
    • Kai
    • Lay
    • Sehun
    • Suho
    • Xiumin
  • Things that come with this album:
    • CD
    • About 30 page photo book
    • Photocard (9 versions, one for each member)
  • I like the laidback, but also slightly “business” look of the members in this book. It’s, well, charming.
  • I also really enjoy the transparent EXO logo shown throughout the book. I’m not sure why this styling of it appeals to me, but I enjoy it.

K-Points: 355/5

Okay, I know I am comparing Japanese releases to the rest of my Korean releases, but even though I like the photo book in this one, and I will support EXO no matter what, this album doesn’t appeal to me nearly as much as many of my EXO Korea albums. On top of all of that, none of the EXO members are known for their Japanese skills.

Should you buy a copy of this album? So, I personally find this one a bit extra to have in a collection, unless you are a serious EXO stan, or love one of the members. If you aren’t, why would you need a copy of an album for a group that isn’t in their native language? Save your money. Obviously though, if you can stream it, you still should.
