EXO (엑소) for Happiness DVD Unboxing

exo from happiness dvd cover

Today we are doing things a little bit differently because today, this album packaging review, is also getting a mini-review because what we are reviewing needs a fair chance. This DVD is more of a treat to the fans than it is amazing packaging. So, today, we are going to talk about the EXO from Happiness DVD which is a DVD all about their trip to Fiji a while back that they decided to release for their fans to enjoy.

I do a lot of my album shopping on Music Plaza LA if you are trying to find a copy of this. Additionally, if you have never used Music Plaza before, this link will get you an extra 5% off of your first purchase!

You can also order a copy of the album from an eBay, as they typically have good prices. Plus, with eBay, you can save a little bit of money by using the E-Bates extension on your browser, as it will save you 2% on all album purchases, which definitely adds up.

What is E-Bates?

E-Bates is a cashback site that gives you money for purchases you may have already made. They even have an extension for multiple browsers so when you go to a website that uses Ebates, it will automatically pop up the cashback button to make sure you are saving money. I use this all the time, and I got over 80$ back from them for purchases I was going to make anyway. That’s about 3 more albums I can buy!

If you’ve never used EBates before, you can use this link to get $10 when making a qualified purchase of $25 when using EBates. You will also get whatever percent cashback is being offered from the site you are purchasing from.  Sephora, typically has 4% cashback, through here. Sokoglam typically has 3%. These percentages Many other major retailers are on there as well.

Things to Know About the DVD:

  • The packaging is just a Jewel CD case with 2 DVDs inside of it
  • The booklet on the inside is very small, and only has 1 photo of each member.
  • The DVD (this is why I’m adding the DVD into the mix) has over an hour and a half of footage of the members goofing off in Fiji.
  • The whole content of the DVD is actually adorable. They celebrate Chen’s birthday, they learn to make cocktails, go ride buggies in the jungle, dive into the ocean off of a boat, and there is a whole scene where Chanyeol cannot control his drone.
  • You really get to see all of the individual member’s personalities on here

K-Points: 375/5

So, quite frankly, the packaging of this is not very good. I hate how it is a jewel case, as that break so easily, and they really just don’t look that good. The photobook in it is absolutely tiny, and I find it frustrating that you have to purchase it separately instead of all of it coming together. That would have been fairer to the fans’ wallets. They got us all tempted to make sure we have both parts of it cause 1.5 hours of watching EXO isn’t enough.

Even though the content is good on the DVD, I don’t really think that it is absolutely necessary to have it in your collection, as it is just little nuggets of them goofing around. Also, I don’t really think it is worth the steep price tag that they are trying to get you to pay. I only bought it because my friend found it half off in a bookstore. If you can find it for like 25 bucks, I say go for it, but for the FULL price tag, don’t pick it up. It’s not worth it. If the photobook was included and not separate, go for it. That being said, the actual content of the DVD is what is redeeming this item because it is truly precious and adorable. I could watch EXO being EXO for forever.
