Taemin (태민) MOVE Album Unboxing

taemin move

One of my first ever posts on this blog was for Taemin’s Moving (you can read that here), and I thought it was only right to talk about the original version of the album as well, Taemin’s MOVE, as I do have both copies of that album as well to share with you. I feel that I must share them with you, as we all need to just appreciate Taemin. He is gift given to us by the K-Pop gods, and is a shining ray of light in a world of darkness… Well, that’s poetic over-dramatic nonsense, but not far off from the truth.

I picked up both of my copies of this album from Choice Music. You can pick up a set of them for $32.99 here on Choice, plus shipping. You can also just get one copy for $16.99 plus shipping here. Update: I do not shop at Choice Music anymore, due to a bad customer service experience, so I now shop at Music Plaza LA. If you have never used Music Plaza before, this link will get you an extra 5% off of your first purchase!

On Amazon, a set of both will run you about 51$ with free shipping. You can get that here or $24.85 for one here.

You can also order a copy of the album from an eBay, as they typically have good prices. Plus, with eBay, you can save a little bit of money by using the E-Bates extension on your browser, as it will save you 2% on all album purchases, which definitely adds up.

What is E-Bates?

E-Bates is a cashback site that gives you money for purchases you may have already made. They even have an extension for multiple browsers so when you go to a website that uses Ebates, it will automatically pop up the cashback button to make sure you are saving money. I use this all the time, and I got over 80$ back from them for purchases I was going to make anyway. That’s about 3 more albums I can buy!

If you’ve never used EBates before, you can use this link to get $10 when making a qualified purchase of $25 when using EBates. You will also get whatever percent cashback is being offered from the site you are purchasing from.  Sephora, typically has 4% cashback, through here. Sokoglam typically has 3%. These percentages Many other major retailers are on there as well.

Things to know about this album:

  • There are 2 versions:
  • Things that come with the album:
    • CD
    • Photobook (about 90 pages)
    • Photocard
  • The color scheme of the album is all warm tones, so lots of reds, oranges, and yellows. These shades are contrasted with black and white tones. The color scheme used really makes him look super sexy and as androgynous as usual
  • His outfits in the photo book are a mix of masculine, but also feminine. He wears see-through tops but also wears tops that you would see as streetwear. So it’s like an interesting mix.

K-Points: 391/5

Although  I really, love the music on this album, in regards to the packaging, it is just okay. The photos are great, but there aren’t many of them, and most of the album is the lyrics. One thing I do like about the packaging though is the fact that this album is the same size as most SM albums, so they look really nice when they are next to each other on the shelf.

Do you need to buy a copy of this album? For the music, yes. For the photo book, No. Can you just stream the album? Absolutely, but I think instead of streaming it, you should just purchase the full digital copy. It is worth it.
