Super Junior (슈퍼주니어) Hawaii Photobook Unboxing

superjunior hawaii photobook cover

THE HYPERVENTILATION PROCESS HAS BEGUN!! Yes, yes, I did just modify a line from The Santa Clause 2… No,  I don’t regret it in the slightest… Today it is an oldie, but a goodie. These are the Super Junior 8th anniversary Memory in Hawaii books, Aloha and Mahalo. I had my friend pick up on her trip to New York when she got the EXO for Happiness DVD for me. So, 감사합니다 to her. She is a real trooper. She texted me through the entire store and sent me pictures of everything just to make sure I really wanted it.

I do a lot of my album shopping on Music Plaza LA. Additionally, if you have never used Music Plaza before, this link will get you an extra 5% off of your first purchase!

You can also order a copy of the album from an eBay, as they typically have good prices. Plus, with eBay, you can save a little bit of money by using the E-Bates extension on your browser, as it will save you 2% on all album purchases, which definitely adds up.

What is E-Bates?

E-Bates is a cashback site that gives you money for purchases you may have already made. They even have an extension for multiple browsers so when you go to a website that uses Ebates, it will automatically pop up the cashback button to make sure you are saving money. I use this all the time, and I got over 80$ back from them for purchases I was going to make anyway. That’s about 3 more albums I can buy!

If you’ve never used EBates before, you can use this link to get $10 when making a qualified purchase of $25 when using EBates. You will also get whatever percent cashback is being offered from the site you are purchasing from.  Sephora, typically has 4% cashback, through here. Sokoglam typically has 3%. These percentages Many other major retailers are on there as well.

Things you need to know about these books:

  • These books were released on December 20th, 2013.
  • Both of the books have 100% different photos
  • Yesung showed up late on the trip, so he is only featured in the second half of the book… sad face
  • The books also come with a DVD of the making of. They’re kinda fun to watch. Each are about 30 minutes long.
  • There are a ton of shirtless photos of the members that you would probably want to see.
  • There are also a ton of photos of them playing with animals which are like crack to me.
  • The Aloha version comes with photocards with notes from all of the members. All of them (minus Yesung) are of them wearing Hawaii shirts with leis… they look delicious (can you tell how much I hate Super Junior)
  • The Mahalo version comes with a mouse pad of all things. This is the first time I’ve ever seen that with a photo book.
  • Each book also comes with a poster

K-Points: 700/5

Even if these books are on the expensive side, as a collector’s item, and as a fan item, they are totally worth it. They are full of beautiful photos of all of Super Junior being just as beautiful as the scenery around them. There are photos ranging from them hanging out on the beach, to riding horses, as well as them just hanging out indoors. All of the photos are truly absolutely gorgeous. The colors are bright, and draw your eye in…. or maybe that’s Eunhyuk’s abs… I’m not really sure which draws your eyes in more… Honestly, the photos are full-on hyperventilation levels, and they are every time I look at them.

If you can only buy one of the books out of the two, I personally think that you should go to the Mahalo book. For starters, the mouse pad is pretty cool and totally different. Other than that, the photo books are truly fantastic, and you would be pleased with both of them. They are great little pieces of the summer in the dead of winter. They are also a great piece of attractive men for any time of the year. You might think they are old, but I’m 24, and they’re close enough in age for me to marry.

Okay, that’s enough fan girling for today, K-Nuggets.

사랑합니다!
