Okay, I know that this isn’t officially K-Pop, but all of the members of WAYV are also members of NCT. So, it counts on that fact alone. So, every time WAYV comes out with any album, yes I do buy it. That is how WAYV Awaken the World made it into my K-Pop-loving hands. Keep reading to find out what comes with the album, my thoughts, and where you can pick up a copy.
Things to know about the WAYV Awaken The World The First Studio Album:
Released on June 9th, 2020 Awaken the World is the first studio album from WAYV. Featuring 10 tracks and the lead single “Turn Back Time”. The album charted in 5 different countries: Japan, South Korea, the USA, Hungary, and the UK. Due to the fact that this album was released during the pandemic, all promotions for the album occurred in South Korea. The album has sold over 280,000 albums worldwide.

I really like how NCT is consistent with these circle photo cards in this time period. There aren’t many groups that do photocards in a shape other than rectangular, so it is nice to see uniqueness. Maybe someone will give us a dodecahedron photo card at some point. Other than that, I like how there is a folded poster, and the outbox. You don’t frequently see text on packages like that. So it is a good use of the space.

What is Rakuten?
Rakuten is a cashback site that gives you money for purchases you may have already made. They even have an extension for multiple browsers so when you go to a website that uses Rakuten, it will automatically pop up the cashback button to make sure you are saving money. I use this all the time, and I got over $80 back from them for purchases I was going to make anyway. That’s about 3 more albums I can buy!

You will also get whatever percent cashback is being offered from the site you are purchasing from. Sephora, typically has 4% cashback, through here. Ulta typically has 3%. These are just some of the companies on the website, but there are other major retailers on there as well!
Rakuten also has a Google Chrome extension that will tell you as soon as you log onto a site that has cashback with a little pop-up in the corner so that you can ensure you are saving money!
