Super Junior (슈퍼주니어) Seasons Greetings 2018 Unboxing

super junior seasons greetings box set

So about a week after my SHINee Seasons Greetings for 2018 came in the mail, my Super Junior Seasons Greetings finally showed up, because the post office is stupid had them sitting there for a week. I’m personally convinced that the post people in California are closeted K-Pop fans and like to hold on to my Korean music so that they can just feel the energy coming off of it.

I do a lot of my album shopping on Music Plaza LA. Additionally, if you have never used Music Plaza before, this link will get you an extra 5% off of your first purchase!

You can also order a copy of the album from an eBay, as they typically have good prices. Plus, with eBay, you can save a little bit of money by using the E-Bates extension on your browser, as it will save you 2% on all album purchases, which definitely adds up.

What is E-Bates?

E-Bates is a cashback site that gives you money for purchases you may have already made. They even have an extension for multiple browsers so when you go to a website that uses Ebates, it will automatically pop up the cashback button to make sure you are saving money. I use this all the time, and I got over 80$ back from them for purchases I was going to make anyway. That’s about 3 more albums I can buy!

If you’ve never used EBates before, you can use this link to get $10 when making a qualified purchase of $25 when using EBates. You will also get whatever percent cashback is being offered from the site you are purchasing from.  Sephora, typically has 4% cashback, through here. Sokoglam typically has 3%. These percentages Many other major retailers are on there as well.

Things to know about this Set:

  • Like the SHINee Season’s Greetings, each month of the planner has 4 sections:
    • Calendar
    • Weekly Planner
    • Day Planner
    • Free Notes
  • Each layout I’ve discovered is really good for different purposes(because this one I am actually using):
    • The Calendar I just quickly mark important dates on (ex. music releases).
    • The weekly view I use for a rough over view of things that I have going on, so for the blog, it gives me a quick look at all posts that should go out that week so I can more easily visualize what I can and cannot move around.
    • The daily view I make more lists of things that I plan or need to do on a particular day. I also note on it what I learned that day in my Korean studies, what posts I wrote, and what all I did, so I can easily look back and see what I did on XYZ date.
    • The free notes section I use to keep track of overall things, like shipments I anticipate arriving, what blog posts I expect to write in the near future, as well as keeping a list of all of the things that I am ready to write posts on because the photos are already taken and edited.
  • Different members are featured in different months, and since SUJU has more active members than SHINee, they are set up differently. So January is everyone, then you have 2 months of individual members, then a month of those members together, then 3 individual member months, then those 3 members together, then 2 months of the individual members, then those members together, and then the full group again.
  • Yesung got May, which I consider fate because my birthday is in May, and I love Yesung…. I guess it means we will get married eventually… he just doesn’t know it yet MWAHAHA
  • The posters and the photo cards match the same order as the actual planner book itself. So if its a full group month, the full group will be on the poster and photo card.
  • They are paper

K-Points: 578/5

So, I actually like the Super Junior version better than the SHINee version, mainly because I don’t feel awful or feel like I’m going to cry using it. I have also already started using this planner, and I think the layout and format that they used is the best I have ever had for any planner. I have tried using full-year planners before, but I hate carrying them around because they are so dang big and fat, and you carry your whole life in them. With this, you only have to carry two months at a time MAX, and as soon as you are done with one month, you can put it back in the box for posterity purposes. The books are also super thin, so they will not weigh your bag down at all. At one point, I had one of those Erin Condren planners that are roughly the same price as this one is that you can personalize and stuff, but that things weighed like ten pounds, so eventually it left my bag. These, I will not even know I am carrying.

Did I hyperventilate when I got this? Yes…. especially after I saw that the only Korean man I have ever put on the wall of my bedroom AKA 김종훈 AKA 예성 as y’all probably can actually read Yesung ended up being my birthday month of May. It’s fate. We’re meant to be. We are gonna get married, and 2018 is officially going to be a good year. I consider this a VERY good sign as to how my year will turn out. Am I hella excited to pull out May? DUH.

Do you guys need this in your collection? Depends. Do you meet the following criteria:

  • Are you an organization freak like me?
  • Do you hate full-year planners because they are too heavy?
  • Are you also a massive ELF?

If you answered yes to all of these questions, then yes, you do need it. If the only question you didn’t answer as yes was the ELF one, you might want to opt for a different SM group. I personally love Super Junior, as I’ve said in multiple posts already. They are awkward and weird, all while being extremely adorable for men in their 30s… Well most of them at least… The remaining members are pretty dang close. I will probably never get tired of staring at their faces, and I get to do it almost every single day in 2018… So I think this is a pretty dang good year.

Let me know down in the comments what SM group you would want the Seasons Greetings for, K-Nuggets.

사랑합니다!
