I have an addiction to K-Dramas and I love a good sageuk (사극) or period piece. And, I love a drama that has an idol from an amazing K-Pop group, Girls’ Generation. Airing from July 17th, 2017 through September 19th, 2017, The King in Love takes place in the Goryeo (고려) dynasty. Following the story of Crown Prince Wang Won (Im Siwan), a young monarch who wants to conquer and his 2 friends that help him in his quest: San (YoonA of Girls’ Generation) and Wang Rin (Hong Jonghyun). The drama was nominated for Drama of the year at the MBC Drama Awards and Im Siwan and YoonA were nominated for Top Excellence Awards.

So, this album is far more simple than most of the albums that come out today. For 2017 though, this was relatively standard for an OST. There are no photo cards, just a small photo book, and a CD. It is really meant as a commemorative item from the drama with a few extra behind the scenes photos.
