Super Junior Replay Unboxing

super junior replay

As you have probably all figured out by now, I am quite a huge E.L.F. As such, when Super Junior Replay, the repackage of Play (and Pause) from late fall last year was released, I had to get my hands on a copy. Well, I’ve had my SUJU loving hands on my copy for a while now, so I thought it was time to finally write my review of the album itself. It is delayed, but it is here now, which is what matters.

I picked up my copy of this album on Choice Music for $27.99 plus shipping here. This is the special edition version of the album, so it is a little bit more expensive than the regular version, which you can get for $19.99 plus shipping on Choice here.  If you prefer Amazon, here is the special edition for $42.99 and here is the regular version for $27.89 with free shipping as a Prime member. If you don’t have Amazon Prime, you can get a 30 day free trial using this link here. I will not lie, the free 2 day shipping, plus all of the free music and videos are totally worth it. Prime really is worth it. I use it to watch Yoga, as well as read books. Basically, I use it for my life.

Things to know about Super Junior Replay:

  • There are 2 versions of this album as mentioned about:
    • Regular version
    • Special Edition version (shown here)
  • Things the special edition version of Super Junior Replay includes:
    • CD
    • 120 page photo book
    • Member specific poster (I got Yesung. He is my fave)
    • 2rRandom photo cards (There are 14 versions)
  • First thing I want to note: How in the heck did I manage to get a Yesung photo card as well as a Yesung poster? The KPop Gods must have been shining down on me the day that I ordered this to grant me with such luck.
  • The top of the box has a circular hole in it so that you can see the cover of the photo book underneath, although the are identical
  • The album has a tropical latin flair to the photos. I also hate Yesung’s blonde hair. I am very happy his hair is dark again.
  • The tab placement on the CD makes it easy to pull out, but the foam circle keeps in in there tight.

K-Points: 473/5

Okay, I know I shouldn’t be doing this, despite the fact that I really love the photo book, I keep comparing this one to the original books from Play. I like those a lot better. I feel like the bright colors, and character clothing outshines the members in this book. It makes them look like a gimmick. In the original version, the members personalities shine more since the clothes are more simple. This is why points were docked.

Now, despite this should you still buy a copy of the album? Totally! It’s a really good album. Can you just stream it? Absolutely. It even may be better to just buy a copy of the original album, since the photo book is better, and the simply stream the extra tracks.
