Rovectin Cica Care Balm Review

Bomibox August scaled

Last month, I wrote a post on my monthly Bomibox, and today is a post with a victory for Bomibox.  So the Rovectin Cica Care Balm that came in my August Box, well it is almost gone, which means I will actually talk about my experiences with this product.

Things to know about the Rovectin Cicacare Balm:

  • Rovectin is a cosmeceutical brand that has a philosophy to offer products that are good for health-conscious consumers, back to skincare’s
  • The brand claims to be formulated with all hypoallergenic, safe ingredients.
Key ingredients:
  • Centella Asiatica which calms the skin, heals wounds and prevents redness
  • Lavender Oil which also calms the skin and fights irritation
  • Glycerin which protects and hydrates the skin
  • Madecassoside which helps heal wounds and protects the skin
  • Calamine which gives it that slightly pinkish color and also prevents itching, while soothing the skin
There is nothing inherently “bad” for your skin in this formula.
Who should use this product?
  • Those with sensitive skin
  • Those who are dealing with inflammation
  • Those who have allergies

K-Points: 83/5

I am a massive fan of this product. It does exactly what it says, and my skin has definitely felt calmer since I started using it. Now, why isn’t this getting more points? I think it has a relatively hefty price tag for what it is, as I suspect that there are similar products available in the K-Beauty market for a fraction of the cost. I also don’t think the product is particularly innovative.

I think the product is amazing, just relatively expensive. If you have sensitized or sensitive skin, this product would do a load of good for you. None of the ingredients in it are irritating and the ingredients are all also extremely high quality. If you don’t have sensitized or sensitive skin, I would search around for something similar that is cheaper, as there has to be a dupe out there.

Where Can I Buy It?

I tried this product in my Bomibox initially, but when I buy products from Rovectin, nowadays I pick them up on Style Korean, as they have a very large selection of K-Beauty on their site. I will also pick up K-Beauty on Ulta, because they have a whole K-Beauty section. Plus, on Ulta, you can get cashback with Rakuten.

What is Rakuten?

Rakuten is a cashback site that gives you money for purchases you may have already made. They even have an extension for multiple browsers so when you go to a website that uses Rakuten, it will automatically pop up the cashback button to make sure you are saving money. I use this all the time, and I got over $80 back from them for purchases I was going to make anyway. That’s about 3 more albums I can buy!

If you’ve never used Rakuten before, you can use this link to get $10 when making a qualified purchase of $25 when using Rakuten. You will also get whatever percent cashback is being offered from the site you are purchasing from.  Sephora, typically has 4% cashback, through here. Ulta typically has 3%. These are just some of the companies on the website, but there are other major retailers on there as well!

Rakuten also has a Google Chrome extension that will tell you as soon as you log onto a site that has cashback with a little pop-up in the corner so that you can ensure you are saving money!

You can also just pick up this product on Amazon with Free Shipping if you have Prime.

If you don’t have Amazon Prime, you can get a 30 day free trial using this link here. I will not lie, the free 2 day shipping, plus all of the free music and videos are totally worth it. I also now use it for books for my Kindle paper white too, and it is honestly a life saver. They have a program called Kindle Unlimited where you can check out 10 books at a time, read them, and put them back in the kindle library. The program cost $7.99 a month, and you get the first 30 days for free with this link.
