NACIFIC Fresh Herb Origin Serum Review

Nacific Fresh Herb Origin Serum

I told you all that there would be a number of NACIFIC posts coming your way, in my Nacific Fresh Herb Origin Eye Cream post. Today, I want to talk about a serum that many people were raving about: the NACIFIC Fresh Herb Origin Serum. Because of the unique formula of this product, people report a “tingly feeling” when using this serum on their skin, causing it to be sold out almost consistently in stores such as Sokoglam. Today, I’m going to walk you through what this magical “tingling” formula is, what I think of it, what the Koreans think of it, and where you can get it yourself.

Things to know about NACIFIC Fresh Herb Origin Serum:

This product is formulated with the following ingredients that are good for your skin:
  • Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Water is a very well-known calming and hydrating ingredient. It also is known to heal the skin and is full of antioxidants.
  • Limanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil is an ingredient that is an emollient and softening agent that can also prevent collagen from degrading in the skin and help offset the negative effects of UVB exposure.
  • Camellia Japonica Extract is an antioxidant that can also neutralize the effects of pollution on the skin. Additionally, it boosts the presence of certain antioxidant enzymes in the skin, increasing your skins ability to defend against external aggressors
  • Nymphaea Alba Flower Extract is an ingredient with anti-aging benefits and antioxidants. The extract protects the skin proteins from getting damaged as well as helps reduce wrinkles and hyperpigmentation. On top of all of that, it improves the skin’s elasticity.
  • Ginkgo Biloba Nut Extract is an ingredient that is known to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, increase collagen production, and help reduce inflammation and appearance of redness for things such as rosacea, acne, and eczema.
This product is formulated with the following ingredients that are “bad”* for your skin:
  • Citrus Limon (Lemon) Peel Oil is an oil that is meant to help tighten the pores and act as an exfoliant. The only reason I am adding this to this list is that this ingredient (as well as the other fruit oils in this product) are known to be potential skin irritants. I have a known issue with citrus oils, and this formulation has caused me no irritation or an allergic reaction whatsoever.

K-Points: 10/10

So, for beauty reviews, unlike my album unboxings, I will be much harsher on because this can directly impact your health, where buying K-Pop albums does not. It just impacts your wallet. As such, all of my beauty reviews will be out of 10 points. I will not be going over that number.

Although this serum has a pretty strong fragrance, it isn’t a fragrance that my skin finds irritating, even though I can have issues with Fruit oils. The way they formulated this prevents any irritation, and it makes my skin look amazing. After using this product for a few weeks, my skin has a continual glow that refuses to subside. The only time that I can feel any tingling on my skin is immediately after using, because of the citrus peel oils, but it goes away almost immediately and I only feel it on places where my skin needed some TLC.

Honestly, I like this product so much that I will probably add it to my normal rotation of skincare. The two-phase formula of the separated oil and serum is what makes this product fantastic the serum provides the barrier that my skin needs to be able to accept all of those oils without irritation. On top of that, this serum is chock full of amazing plant-based ingredients. If I included all of them, this post would be far too long for anyone to want to read!

What are the Koreans saying?

I was digging through reviews on 화해**, a Korean skincare app that lists out the ingredients of products from many brands for people to look through as well as post reviews. The Koreans were consistently talking about the quick results that they saw with this product. They said that the product is good for trouble and oily skin, and even those who don’t have troubled skin. One other thing that they noted is to ensure that you shake it well before using it on your skin.

Where Can I Buy It?

Whenever I buy K-Beauty, I do shop at a couple of different places. If you want to see all of the places that I shop at, you can check them all out here.  I believe that I picked this product up on Style Korean, but it is also available on Sokoglam. With Sokoglam, you can also use Rakuten for cash back off of your purchases on their site.

What is Rakuten?

Rakuten is a cashback site that gives you money for purchases you may have already made. They even have an extension for multiple browsers so when you go to a website that uses Rakuten, it will automatically pop up the cashback button to make sure you are saving money. I use this all the time, and I got over $80 back from them for purchases I was going to make anyway. That’s about 3 more albums I can buy!

If you’ve never used Rakuten before, you can use this link to get $10 when making a qualified purchase of $25 when using Rakuten. You will also get whatever percent cashback is being offered from the site you are purchasing from.  Sephora, typically has 4% cashback, through here. Ulta typically has 3%. These are just some of the companies on the website, but there are other major retailers on there as well!

Rakuten also has a Google Chrome extension that will tell you as soon as you log onto a site that has cashback with a little pop-up in the corner so that you can ensure you are saving money!

What is your favorite serum, K-Nuggets? Let me know in the comments down below!

*I put bad in quotes here because everything is subjective. Just because an ingredient that may have some amount of research on it that it can cause issues in the skin exists in a product says nothing about how it is processed and refined when making the product. It also says nothing about where that particular ingredient came from and the quality of that ingredient. It’s just like with cooking you can have all the same ingredients to start, but depending on what you do with those ingredients, you can get two completely different end products. Liah Yoo, Youtuber and now the owner of the brand Krave Beauty, made an excellent video talking about this. You can watch that here.

**Note: 화해 still only exists in Korean, but some of the products can be searched for in English.
