When I was browsing through, looking for albums missing from my collection, I stumbled across the MSG Wannabe Special Album. As a big fan of many of the members, I knew I needed it in my collection. Keep reading to find out what comes with the album, my thoughts, and where you can pick up a copy.
Things to know about the MSG Wannabe Special Album:
MSG is a group that was formed on Yoo Jae Seok’s show “Hangout with Yoo” (놀면 뭐하니?). It is made up of 2 subunits:
JSDK

- Simon Dominic (Jung Ki-suck)
- Lee Dong-hwi
- Lee Sang-yi
M.O.M
- Jee Seok-jin (Byeollu Ji)
- KCM (Kang Chang-mo)

The group had a few songs that topped the charts, including 바라만 본다 (Foolish Love), 나를 아는 사람 (Only You), and 상상더하기 (Journey to Atlantis). 바라만 본다 (Foolish Love) & 나를 아는 사람 (Only You) also topped the Billboard K-Pop charts on their release in 2020.

This album has some incredibly unique extras. This is the only album I have ever purchased that includes a fan and a a bandtok for my phone. It truly went above and beyond in that department. On top of that, although the album is short, I really am a fan of the music and the members of MSG (especially Simon Dominic and Yoo Jae Seok).

What is Rakuten?
Rakuten is a cashback site that gives you money for purchases you may have already made. They even have an extension for multiple browsers so when you go to a website that uses Rakuten, it will automatically pop up the cashback button to make sure you are saving money. I use this all the time, and I got over $80 back from them for purchases I was going to make anyway. That’s about 3 more albums I can buy!
If you’ve never used Rakuten before, you can use this link to get $10 when making a qualified purchase of $25 when using Rakuten. You will also get whatever percent cashback is being offered from the site you are purchasing from. Sephora, typically has 4% cashback, through here. Ulta typically has 3%. These are just some of the companies on the website, but there are other major retailers on there as well!
Rakuten also has a Google Chrome extension that will tell you as soon as you log onto a site that has cashback with a little pop-up in the corner so that you can ensure you are saving money!
