Monsta X Lightstick Version 2.0 Unboxing

Recently, I had the pleasure of being able to travel to Washington DC to see Monsta X in concert, a group that I have been a fan of for many years. As a fan, I cannot go to a concert without a lightstick. That’s how the Monsta X Lightstick Version 2.0 ended up traveling hundreds of miles with me. Keep reading to find out what comes with the lightstick, my thoughts, and where you can pick up one for yourself.

Things to know about the Monsta X Lightstick:

  • This is Version 2 of the Monsta X Lightstick, released on
  • Between the first and second versions, there was a complete redesign of the following aspects:
    • color palette
    • The size was modified slightly
    • Shape and color of the boxes
    • Complete redesign of the dome
  • The Lightstick is called the Mondoongie
  • When did this version debut
  • Things that come with the lightstick:
    • Lightstick
    • Stand (this is unique, as most lightsticks I own do not have a box)
    • Strap
    • Box
  • Lightstick Modes:
    •   On
    • Blink
    • Flicker
    • With the app, you can select various colors for your lightstick
  • The lightstick takes 3 AAA batteries so make sure to pick some up if you get this!

K-Points: 285/5

So, I loved having this lightstick at the concert. Like all lightsticks, this made me feel like I was at a rave and it was an excellent time. On top of that, the fact that it comes with a stand is absolutely amazing, as this is one less lightstick that I have to figure out how to display. That being said, this lightstick has one fault: the app for it is absolutely awful. It is incredibly hard to get everything connected up, especially when there are multiple lightsticks around.

If you want to watch me fangirl, I do also post reactions on my YouTube Channel. I have posted one for Monsta X Alligator, which you can watch below:

Where Can I Buy It?

I picked up my lightstick from Music Plaza LA. You can get this lightstick here for $59.99, plus shipping. Additionally, if you have never used Music Plaza before, this link will get you an extra 5% off of your first purchase! You can also order one from eBay, as they typically have good prices. This link will help you with your search. Plus, with eBay, you can save a little bit of money by using the Rakuten extension on your browser, as it will save you 1% on all album purchases, which definitely adds up!

What is Rakuten?

Rakuten is a cashback site that gives you money for purchases you may have already made. They even have an extension for multiple browsers so when you go to a website that uses Rakuten, it will automatically pop up the cashback button to make sure you are saving money. I use this all the time, and I got over $80 back from them for purchases I was going to make anyway. That’s about 3 more albums I can buy!

If you’ve never used Rakuten before, you can use this link to get $10 when making a qualified purchase of $25 when using Rakuten. You will also get whatever percent cashback is being offered from the site you are purchasing from.  Sephora, typically has 4% cashback, through here. Ulta typically has 3%. These are just some of the companies on the website, but there are other major retailers on there as well!

Rakuten also has a Google Chrome extension that will tell you as soon as you log onto a site that has cashback with a little pop-up in the corner so that you can ensure you are saving money!

Can I get it on Amazon?

Yes! You can pick up one using this link for about 80 dollars (probably due to the recent tour for the increase in price), with free shipping if you have Amazon Prime. If you don’t have Amazon Prime, you can get a 30-day free trial using this link here. I will not lie, the free 2-day shipping, plus all of the free music and videos are totally worth it. I also now use it for books for my Kindle Paper White too, and it is honestly a lifesaver. They have a program called Kindle Unlimited where you can check out 10 books at a time, read them, and put them back in the Kindle library. The program costs $7.99 a month, and you get the first 30 days for free with this link.
