Wanna One (원너원) 1×1=1 To be One Album Unboxing

wanna one

Adding in a little bit of an older release for you guys today to go along with my earlier post reviewing the Repackage of the Wanna on Album 1-1=0 Nothing Without You. It is time to talk about the original release of the album, the version that came out right after the finalists won Produce 101 Season Two. I, personally am a huge fan of Wanna One. I think that even after the group disbands, the individual members have huge careers ahead of them, and I look forward to seeing what all they will do. Also, if any of them ever go solo, I will totally buy all of their crap like a fool and embrace every single second of it.  This is the Wanna One 1×1=1: To be One mini-album.

I do a lot of my album shopping on Music Plaza LA. Additionally, if you have never used Music Plaza before, this link will get you an extra 5% off of your first purchase!

You can also order a copy of the album from an eBay, as they typically have good prices. Plus, with eBay, you can save a little bit of money by using the E-Bates extension on your browser, as it will save you 2% on all album purchases, which definitely adds up.

What is E-Bates?

E-Bates is a cashback site that gives you money for purchases you may have already made. They even have an extension for multiple browsers so when you go to a website that uses Ebates, it will automatically pop up the cashback button to make sure you are saving money. I use this all the time, and I got over 80$ back from them for purchases I was going to make anyway. That’s about 3 more albums I can buy!

If you’ve never used EBates before, you can use this link to get $10 when making a qualified purchase of $25 when using EBates. You will also get whatever percent cashback is being offered from the site you are purchasing from.  Sephora, typically has 4% cashback, through here. Sokoglam typically has 3%. These percentages Many other major retailers are on there as well.

Things to Know about this Album:

There are 2 versions of this album:

  • Things that come with the album:
    • CD
    • Photobook (about 96 pages)
    • Flipbook
    • Second cover
    • Wanna One album cover for the bottom of the album
    • Lyric book
    • 2 photocards (1 individual member card, one group card)
  • The photobooks in the album are identical, they feature casual wear and beachwear.
  • With the flipbook, as you change the pages, the boys move, as if they are walking towards you. These are different for each book. The blue version they are in suits, the pink version they’re all beachy.

K-Points: 385/5

So this isn’t one of my favorite packaging jobs that I’ve ever seen and in comparison to the repackage, I’m not sure if it is absolutely necessary to buy. For starters, the photo books in both versions are 100% identical, as are the lyric books. In my option, if you make 2 versions, to be fair to the fans, you should make both photo books different. Making the same book for both defies the point of both versions. Additionally, I wasn’t too much a fan of the extras. It’s nice that they give individual photo cards of the members, but I personally am not much of a fan of the little thing that goes on the outside. Since it is paper, it can easily get ruined. It also has to stick on with tape, which could completely ruin the inside of the album if you ever decide to take it off.

Is it worth buying? If you bought the repackage of it, probably not. Should I buy the repackage instead of this version? Probably. If I were to only buy one version of this album, which would it be? Sky version. I like the cover image better, and I also prefer their outfits more. It’s still a cite album, but it didn’t have the “Wow” factor that I look for with my purchases.  I still like it though. It just isn’t one of my favorite albums.

That’s it for today, K-Nuggets!

사랑합니다!
