We are returning to more EXO posts! EXO Overdose is still probably one of my favorite tracks from the group. When I was just getting into K-Pop, it made such an imprint on my brain and still stands out as one of my favorite music videos to date. Because of this, EXO Overdose very quickly made it into my K-Pop album collection after I started buying them.
Things to know about the EXO Overdose The Second Mini-Album:
Almost a year after their first full album, EXO returned with their final comeback as EXO-K and EXO-M. Right after the release of the album, Kris Wu filed a lawsuit for termination of his contract, followed by Luhan that fall. With two members of EXO-M leaving shortly after the release, the release of Overdose marked the final release of EXO-M. They returned with the single “Overdose” on April 16th, 2 days later than initially planned, due to the Sewol Ferry incident. The mini-album place 2nd on the Billboard World A’bum Charts, and “Overdose” placed 129 in The Billboard 200 (which was very high for a K-Pop group in 2014).

K-Points: 473/5
I know that I am 100% biased here, as the ultimate bias, AKA Chanyeol, happens to be in this album, but I do really like this album. The music on it is all really solid, even though it is still EXO’s infancy stage. On top of that, I really like the packaging of this album! It feels very luxe with the shiny, patterned material. Honestly, I just really love how geometric it is. IT looks pretty out on a shelf. This album is not 500 levels though, just 400. 500 levels is EXO Power of Music.
Should you buy a copy of this album? Absolutely. The music is really good, and you can look at pictures of fetus EXO. They aren’t at ultimate fetus status, but they still look so young here! It’s so cute. Can you just stream the album? Absolutely! The album is just an added bonus.
Where Can I Buy It?
Where Can I Buy It?
You can get a copy of this at the following places:
- Music Plaza (I purchased mine here)
- Ebay (Can get Cashback with Rakuten)
- Amazon
- SubK Shop
If you want to see where I get almost all of the products I buy, you can see that here.
What is Rakuten?
Rakuten is a cashback site that gives you money for purchases you may have already made. They even have an extension for multiple browsers so when you go to a website that uses Rakuten, it will automatically pop up the cashback button to make sure you are saving money. I use this all the time, and I got over $80 back from them for purchases I was going to make anyway. That’s about 3 more albums I can buy!
If you’ve never used Rakuten before, you can use this link to get $10 when making a qualified purchase of $25 when using Rakuten. You will also get whatever percent cashback is being offered from the site you are purchasing from. Sephora, typically has 4% cashback, through here. Ulta typically has 3%. These are just some of the companies on the website, but there are other major retailers on there as well!
Rakuten also has a Google Chrome extension that will tell you as soon as you log onto a site that has cashback with a little pop-up in the corner so that you can ensure you are saving money!
