It is time for another FACETory Post! This month, I’ll be going through the3 FACETory October 2018 SEVEN-Lux box for you. If you do not know what FACEtory is, it is a face mask subscription service created by women in California who just LOVE sheet masks. They offer 2 packages:
- FOUR-Ever Fresh
- SEVEN-Lux
As you can probably guess, the Four-Ever Fresh box is has 4 sheet masks for you to try every month, and the Seven-Lux box has 7 in it. I personally get the 7 face mask box, as I can usually burn through about 20 sheet masks in a month, so 4 is far too few for my sheet mask loving face. I will try any and all sheet masks, as I have found it very rare to find ones I don’t like. They’re a fast and easy way to pamper yourself. Face Masks you get:
FACEtory Glow Baby Glow Mask
- This is a 2 step mask, created by the FACEtory team, that included an ampoule and a sheetmask
- Key Ingredients:
- Nelumbium Speciosum Flower Extract which is full of antioxidants and helps the skin get a radiant glowNiacinamide which improves the appearance of large pores and strengthen the skin’s surface
Keeome Hydration Therapy Mask
- This mask soothes and amps up tired skin
- Key Ingredients:
- Morus Alba Fruit Extract contains vitamin A & E to brighten and improve skin… As well as potentially being related to Jessica Alba… Okay I’m done now.
23 Years Old Seaweed Silky Mask
- This mask completely covers your lips to ensure that all the things in the facial region are hydrated
- Key Ingredients:
- Coptis Japonica Extract an antioxidant that calms and nourishes the skinAlgae Extract which hydrates, promotes anti-aging, prevents inflammation, and helps retain moisture in the skin.
G9 Skin Banana Milk Bomb Mask
- Bomb-smelling mask that encases you in banana-y goodness while hydrating
- Key Ingredients:
- Banana Fruit Extract which contains potassium, and vitamins C& E to gently exfoliate, moisturize, and soften skin
Dr. Glowderm TABRX Whitening Mask
- A science-y looking mask that comes with an oil capsule to enhance the benefits of the mask.
- Key Ingredients:
- Niacinamide (AKA Vitamin B3) which improves the appearance of pores and strengthens the surface of the skinCeramide 3 an intense hydrator that improves dry skin and helps it retain moisture levels
Mediskin Intensive Moisture & Calming Mask
- This is a calming a soothing mask that contains some of my favorite ingredients for fighting redness
- Key ingredients:
- Centella Asiatica, a K-Beauty superstar, which fights inflammation and prevents aging (tons of products have this nowadays)Tea Tree Leaf Extract, an. antiseptic, that soothes skin and treats acne
Meg Two Step Jelly Mask Moisturizing & Vitalizing
- I’m pretty sure that I’ve used this mask before, but I don’t remember what I thought of it.
- This mask is another 2 step mask with an AHA Peeling Swap, and a jelly mask to make skin feel super cool, and calm
- Key Ingredients:
- Lactic Acid which is an alpha-hydroxy acid, a chemical exfoliator that helps reduce acne and promotes anti-agingBlueberry Fruit Extract which repairs damaged skin, and reduces sun damage, dryness, and wrinklesSoybean Seed Extract, high in Vitamin E, adds moisture and amps up the skin with anti-aging benefits
Final Thoughts:
One of my favorite things about FACEtory is how well they curate the masks based on the time of the year, and this box is no exception. They provided ingredients that are perfectly suited for the season change, as well as a variety of different skin types. These masks are ones that I will definitely use.
Per usual, I am extremely satisfied with everything that came in the box this month. On top of that, the ingredient deck is excellent! Plus it takes the guess work out of picking out masks for yourself.
If you are just getting into K-Beauty, and are completely intimidated by the saturation of the market with sheet masks, this is an excellent place to start. They do all the work for you! I honestly haven’t found one that I don’t like yet from them! Here’s a link if you want to try it out.
