This is the first post that I have written about her to date, mainly because she hadn’t released a full album until recently, but man do I love Sunmi. Obviously when she decided to package 가시나(Gashina), 주인공 (Heroine), and 사이렌 (Siren) into her album, Sunmi Warning, I needed it in my life. She also added a few extra songs to the album as well, and I love all of them.
I ordered my copy of this album off of Choice Music LA for $18.99 plus shipping (without poster. It’s a few dollars more for the unfolded poster). You can get yours here. You can get it on Amazon as well for about $27.50 plus free shipping here with Prime. If you get a poster with it, it will be folded with this option as well.
If you don’t have Amazon Prime, you can get a 30 day free trial using this link here. I will not lie, the free 2 day shipping, plus all of the free music and videos are totally worth it. I also now use it for books for my Kindle paper white too, and it is honestly a life saver. They have a program called Kindle Unlimited where you can check out 10 books at a time, read them, and put them back in the kindle library. The program cost $7.99 a month, and you get the first 30 days for free with this link.
Things to know about Sunmi Warning:
- There is only one version of this album
- Things that come with the album:
- CD
- Photobook (It’s relatively thick)
- Photocard (2 versions)
- Lenticular bookmark (2 versions)
- Cover Poster
- The Lenticular bookmark is very cool, and also very durable. Sunmi looks extremely chic on it.
- The entire photobook is actually like some sort of avantgarde art display. There is an excellent use of empty space and images other than her face, as at creates interest
K-Points: 941/5
Honestly, this album is really cool. Not only is Sunmi like some sort of mermaid Starbucks, goddess in all of the photos, but it is a relatively different design for a photobook. The emphasis is not on her, but her as an artist. She added these really cool, weird images that you look at and say “what is that?” The design of the album is excellent, and the music is excellent. You can tell that she took her time, and truly poured her heart and soul in this album which is commendable.
Should you purchase a copy of this album? Well, if you do, you will not regret it. The album is amazing inside and out. Can you just stream it? Absolutely! I like every track on it. Sunmi is a kick-butt no bars held kind of woman, and that is something I love about her. She’s definitely a “girl power” kind of artist, in my opinion!
