I am always trying out new K-beauty for you all, and today is no exception. In order to give this product a full, fair shot, I actually used the whole thing before writing this post. As noted in the title, today we will be talking about the Scinic Sleep Care Hydropeeling Sleeping Pack. I will point out, after looking into it, this product is discontinued, but they probably have similar products, so I am posting this anyway.
Whenever I buy K-Beauty, I do shop at a couple of different places. If you want to see all of the places that I shop at, you can check them all out here. I believe I purchased this product off of Hautelook, but it could also be on Nordstrom Rack, although that may have changed. With Nordstrom rack, as well as many of the other places in my list, you can use Rakuten E-Bates for cash back off of your purchases on their site. This is incredibly convenient, as it will save you a little bit of money when making your purchase.
What is Rakuten?
Rakuten is a cashback site that gives you money for purchases you may have already made. They even have an extension for multiple browsers so when you go to a website that uses Rakuten, it will automatically pop up the cashback button to make sure you are saving money. I use this all the time, and I got over 80$ back from them for purchases I was going to make anyway. That’s about 3 more albums I can buy!
If you’ve never used Rakuten before, you can use this link to get $10 when making a qualified purchase of $25 when using Rakuten. You will also get whatever percent cashback is being offered from the site you are purchasing from. Sephora, typically has 4% cashback, through here. Ulta typically has 3%. These are just some of the companies on the website, but there are other major retailers are on there as well!
Things to know about the Scinic Sleep Care Hydropeeling Sleeping Pack:
This product is formulated with the following ingredients that are good for your skin:
- Niacinamide which can help with smoothing fine lines and wrinkles and hyperpigmentation
- Sodium Hyaluronate replenishes the moisture in the skin and improves dryness.
- Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice a calming ingredient that can help with redness
This product is formulated with the following ingredients that are “bad” for your skin:
- Upon checking the formula, I do not see anything in their formulas that is truly bad for the skin. The product is fragrance free, and the only thing that could give any amount of irritation is the citrus and flower oils in it, but those are in a low concentration, and not obvious in the formula
K-Points: 5/10
So, for beauty reviews, unlike my album unboxings, I will be much harsher on because this can directly impact your health, where buying K-Pop albums does not. It just impacts your wallet. As such, all of my beauty reviews will be out of 10 points. I will not be going over that number.
Quite frankly, I can see why this product was discontinued, as it didn’t feel special or like it was doing much. I wouldn’t consider it impressively hydrating, or as much of a sleeping pack. If I use a sleeping pack, I don’t want it to seep into my skin quickly, I want to feel like it’s going to linger a little bit and really hydrate my skin. I’m not sure this truly does that though.
What are the Koreans saying?
I was digging through reviews on 화해**, a Korean skincare app that lists out the ingredients of products from many brands for people to look through as well as post reviews. After double-checking the product, it didn’t get very good reviews from the Koreans either. They didn’t think it was very moisturizing, but they liked how cheap the product was. It got quite low scores from them in the app.
What product do you want to see me review next, K-Nuggets? Let me know in the comments down below!
사랑합니다!
–Rachel
**Note: 화해 still only exists in Korean, but some of the products can be searched for in English.
