I hate to say it, everyone, but just like Pyunkang Yul, over the course of the next few months, you will be seeing a lot of posts about Nacific coming in your general direction. There may have been a sale, and I may have purchased quite a number of their products to slowly start working my way through. Do not worry though, I’m not using them all at the same time, as I have other products that I’m using and finishing up, so, you will be seeing them coming in phases. The first post in this series will be on the Nacific Fresh Herb Origin Eye Cream. If you want to see photos, review some of the key ingredients, hear the thoughts of others on this product, as well as where to get it yourself, then keep on reading!
Things to know about the Nacific Fresh Herb Origin Eye Cream:
Nacific, a shortened form of Natural Pacific, is a brand that strives to make products that are derived from nature. All of their ingredients are supposed to come from nature (or be naturally found in nature) and are meant to help bring out their customers “natural beauty”.
This product is formulated with the following ingredients that are good for your skin:
- Sorbitol is a naturally occurring sweetener that is used as a moisturizing and hydrating agent. It is also a known prebiotic that can help the skin’s natural microbiome that helps to prevent infection.
- Niacinamide is a star ingredient that is an active form of vitamin B3 that is exceptionally non-irritating. Niacinamide is a known antioxidant that can help with hyperpigmentation, wrinkles, clear acne, and regulate oil production.
- Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil is an ingredient that has anti-inflammatory and anti-acne properties. It also has oil-reducing properties which makes it excellent for an eye cream. There is nothing worse than oily eyelids when trying to put on eye makeup, so this is good.
- Adenosine is a newer anti-aging ingredient that is derived from yeast. It is an ingredient that can stimulate collagen production as well as tissue repair.
- Tremella Funciformis (Mushroom) Extract is more commonly known as Snow Mushroom which has been used in traditional Chinese food and oriental medicine for ages. It is said that this ingredient acts similarly to hyaluronic acid, drawing water into the skin, although the molecules are much smaller. If this ingredient is an all-natural form of hyaluronic acid (which is typically lab-made) that actually functions better, in time, Snow Mushrooms could replace hyaluronic acid is all of our skincare products.
This product is formulated with the following ingredients that are “bad”* for your skin:
- PEG-100 Stearate – PEG is simply an abbreviation of Polyethylene Glycol, and the 100 after it refers to the molecular weight of the PEG. Any product in the PEG line there is the potential to be carcinogenic, especially when used in higher concentrations. This isn’t because of the PEG-100 Stearate itself, but due to contamination that can occur. That being said, any PEGs in skincare products go through a refinement process that helps remove most of the contamination. In this product, there is an incredibly low concentration because it is quite low on the ingredient list.
K-Points: 9/10
So, for beauty reviews, unlike my album unboxings, I will be much harsher on because this can directly impact your health, where buying K-Pop albums does not. It just impacts your wallet. As such, all of my beauty reviews will be out of 10 points. I will not be going over that number.
I do find this eye cream to be quite hydrating, and I also like that it is hydrating but, not so hydrating that it can compromise my eye shadow. It doesn’t cause oily lids or any residue on the lids which is also great. I also have really sensitive skin, and this product hasn’t caused any issues or irritation for me. I can’t speak for anti-wrinkle benefits as I don’t have many wrinkles up to this point, but what I can say is that my eye area feels incredibly moisturized, it looks plump, and my dark circles, although not gone, look much less apparent. I will also note that I don’t anticipate that my dark circles will ever be completely gone because I am so fair, so you can consider this to be a great review from me.
What are the Koreans saying?
I was digging through reviews on 화해**, a Korean skincare app that lists out the ingredients of products from many brands for people to look through as well as post reviews. Some Koreans didn’t like how sticky the product was, and they didn’t notice if there were drastic whitening and anti-wrinkle benefits. They did comment on the fast absorption rate that they found it incredibly moisturizing,
Where Can I Buy It?
Whenever I buy K-Beauty, I do shop at a couple of different places. If you want to see all of the places that I shop at, you can check them all out here. I picked up this Serum on Sokoglam, but it can also be picked up in places such as Style Korean and Yes Style. That being said, with Sokoglam, you can also use Rakuten for cash back off of your purchases on their site.
What is Rakuten?
Rakuten is a cashback site that gives you money for purchases you may have already made. They even have an extension for multiple browsers so when you go to a website that uses Rakuten, it will automatically pop up the cashback button to make sure you are saving money. I use this all the time, and I got over 80$ back from them for purchases I was going to make anyway. That’s about 3 more albums I can buy!
If you’ve never used Rakuten before, you can use this link to get $10 when making a qualified purchase of $25 when using Rakuten. You will also get whatever percent cashback is being offered from the site you are purchasing from. Sephora, typically has 4% cashback, through here. Ulta typically has 3%. These are just some of the companies on the website, but there are other major retailers are on there as well!
Rakuten also has a Google Chrome extension that will tell you as soon as you log onto a site that has cashback with a little pop-up in the corner, so that you can ensure you are saving money!

*I put bad in quotes here because everything is subjective. Just because an ingredient that may have some amount of research on it that it can cause issues in the skin exists in a product says nothing about how it is processed and refined when making the product. It also says nothing about where that particular ingredient came from and the quality of that ingredient. It’s just like with cooking you can have all the same ingredients to start, but depending on what you do with those ingredients, you can get two completely different end products. Liah Yoo, Youtuber and now the owner of the brand Krave Beauty, made an excellent video talking about this. You can watch that here.
**Note: 화해 still only exists in Korean, but some of the products can be searched for in English.
