The time has come for me to give you all a massive list of all of my favorite K-Dramas so you can all start watching them and fall in love with every single second of them, just like I did. Some of these dramas, I just decided to watch at random, and others were recommendations of my friends. They are good to me. and love me very much.
All of these dramas were watched on DramaFever or on Kocowa. If you want to read more about both services, you can do that here in my K-Goods post. I use both services consistently.
These are in no order that you should watch them. They are 100% random. Let’s get to it!
- Goblin: the Great and Lonely God: If you have not seen this drama yet, you really need to. It is the type of drama that will rip you to pieces over and over again. The writers legit stitch your heart back together in this drama, just so they can rip it apart again, and as soon as you think things will get happier, they rip you apart again. Even then, the script is so well written, and the actors are all so fantastic that even though they rip you to pieces, you will want to watch this drama over and over again, buy a ton of the crap that you see in the drama itself. It’s adorable. You will die.
- My Love from Another Star: Just go read my post.
- Strong Woman Do Bong Soon: I watched this one at the recommendation of my cousin, and all I had to see was that Park Hyung Sik is in the cast, and I was hooked. He is like one of the most beautiful people I have ever seen, and I could stare at his face all day. On top of all of that, I like how the show had a female heroine that the men were always chasing after who also needed any help from them whatsoever, except to find a job. She kicked ass, she made men fall in love with her, and she knew how to make delicious food. My kind of heroine. Super cute show to the core, where you will root for her and “attractive guy”, not her and “less attractive cop guy”, as dubbed by my father. He also said “How is it possible for someone to be that attractive”…. My father everyone.
- While You Were Sleeping: The next few dramas will all be ones that I watched at the same time in January and December. It was a busy time in the world of dramas, and I watched them all at the same time. This one has Suzy from Miss A in it, and I must say, she has grown into quite a good actress, as I enjoy her quite frequently in dramas. She’s got chops. In this one, she plays a chick who sees when people will die in her dreams, and then the prosecutor guy, she saves him, and he starts seeing her in danger in her dreams, and then the prosecutor guy saves a cop, who in turn starts seeing when the prosecutor will be in danger in his dreams. It’s a great story. I was on the edge of my seat. Watch it y’all.
- Jugglers: This drama was absolutely adorable. It follows a secretary who ends up having a dude that she really dislikes as her boss. She becomes his secretary. As you can already guess, they fall in love. The whole thing is adorable and lighthearted, as even the bad guy is a bit silly. I loved it, and it definitely broke up how much While you were sleeping and the next drama stressed me out.
- Black Knight: This drama…. this drama actually had me swearing at the TV screen very loudly, and legit made me question everything. The two main characters are in their second laugh, after these two immortals basically destroyed their first one. The one immortal, by the time their second life has rolled around, has become a good guy, and has deeply regretted her mistakes in life. You will like her. The other one…. she’s is the one that had me swearing cause she is an absolutely psycho, and I hated her character. When you get me to swear at the TV, that is when you know that the acting is actually spot on. But this drama actually gave me serious anxiety, and it was really good. My dad saw snippets of it, and was like “what’s up with the pretty psycho lady?”
- She Was Pretty: This drama is absolutely adorable, and has Choi Siwon from Super Junior in it. The story follows a girl who was pretty when she was growing up, but then genetics kicked in during puberty, and her skin got bad, so she just stopped caring. Her childhood best friend was a chubster who grew up to be Park Seo Joon. They hadn’t seen each other for like 15 years, and he ends up back in Korea. She sees how attractive he got and then freaks out, and sends her friend who looks like a model to go talk to him, just to get him ot go away. Well obviously things go awry, and he ends up being her boss. Insert Choi Siwon playing a quirky character that likes to pick on the lead actress, and the whole thing is adorable.
All of these dramas in this list are 100% worth your time, and you will not regret watching every single one of them. This is only part 1 of this series, as I have about 50 million Korean TV Shows (Dramas & Variety Shows) that I have watched, as I am an addict who loves a good story. All of these have a great story, and you can definitely anticipate another list of these.
