I’m not sure how many of you know this at this point, but EXO has to be hands down one of my favorite groups in all of K-Pop. They are excessively talented and vocally pristine. For this reason alone, it should come as no shock to you that I had to get a copy (or two) of EXO Obsession. Keep reading to find out what comes with the album, my thoughts, and where you can pick up a copy.
Things to know about the EXO Obsession The Sixth Studio Album:
Released on November 27th, 2019, EXO’s sixth studio album Obsession is the first album without group members Xiumin and D.O, who were completing their mandatory military service requirement. Featuring 10 tracks, the album reached the top of the Weekly Charts in both the US and South Korea and charted in 5 other countries. It was also places 3rd on the Gaon Year End Charts. The album’s single “Obsession”, which if you listen carefully many fans says is directed at the group’s sasaengs (obsessive fans), has over 162 million views on YouTube and it was ranked #1 on the Billboards Top 25 K-Pop songs of 2019.

For a regular album unboxing instead of Tour DVD or something like that, this album’s packaging is over the top. You get two posters, two photocards, and 7 photo booklets. On top of all of that, the packaging is all top quality. This packaging feels like a luxury item. More importantly, the music on the album is amazing.

So should you get yourself a copy of this album? I honestly think it is worth it. Even if only 6 of the EXO members are there, they put their all into this album and did an amazing job. I would even put this one higher or your shopping list. Should you stream it? Absolutely. The songs are really good, and the single, Obsession is unlike anything I’ve ever heard.

What is Rakuten?
Rakuten is a cashback site that gives you money for purchases you may have already made.
