EXO time again! Yes, I know there has been a ton of EXO of late. Today is my birthday though, so I will post on my favorite group. I will run out of new EXO albums eventually though. Today is just not that day. Today’s album is EXO’s Love Me Right. This is the Repackage of Exodus. If you may have noticed from some of my previous EXO posts, such as my Power of Music, The War, or 2017 Winter Special: Universe unboxing, EXO typically gets high ratings from me on packaging as well as music quality. This album is top notch when it comes to music quality. I do feel that this is before EXO truly embraced their style though. This is the phase where they were still growing as artists.
Things to Know about the EXO (엑소) Love Me Right Album:
Released on June 3rd, 2015, Love Me Right is the repacked album of EXO Exodus, release in March of the same year. The first album featuring one less member as Tao’s contract with SM Entertainment was nullified between the Exodus and Love Me Right releases. The album sold over 529 thousand copies and the lead single, Love Me Right has over 150 million views on Youtube. This is also the first album of the group to make it into the US Billboard World Albums Chart making it into 2nd place. On top of that, the album won Album of the Year – 2nd Quarter at the Gaon Album Chart Awards.
- There are only 2 versions:
- Korean version (shown above)
- Chinese version
- Things that come with the album:
- CD
- Photobook (72 pages)
- Photocard (1 of 9)
- Pre-order Only: There was a poster. I would love to get my hands on it.
K-Points: 357/5
This was a really good era for EXO. I love the music video for Love Me Right. The photo book is also nice and I love the color scheme they picked. Do I wish it was bigger? Absolutely. That means more pictures of the members in football pants! Why do you torture me with so few photos! This album to me is a tease, and in comparison to other EXO releases, this one is probably one of my least favorite. I love the music on the album, don’t get me wrong. The album packaging just could have been so much more exciting though.
Should you buy a copy of this album? Absolutely. It is still a really good album. Is the packaging not as good as other EXO albums? Definitely. Compare it to Ex’Act for example. The book was way bigger, and also more personal to the members than this one. Can you just stream it? Sure. The music is still great, and I listen to it all the time. Not my favorite EXO album (That would be the Power of Music), but it is still solid.
If you want to watch me fangirl, I do also post reactions over on my YouTube Channel. I have posted one for EXO Love Shot, which you can watch below:
Where Can I Buy It?
You can get a copy of this at the following places:
- Music Plaza (I purchased mine here)
- Ebay (Can get Cashback with Rakuten)
- Amazon
- SubK Shop
If you want to see where I get almost all of the products I buy, you can see that here.
What is Rakuten?
Rakuten is a cashback site that gives you money for purchases you may have already made. They even have an extension for multiple browsers so when you go to a website that uses Rakuten, it will automatically pop up the cashback button to make sure you are saving money. I use this all the time, and I got over $80 back from them for purchases I was going to make anyway. That’s about 3 more albums I can buy!
If you’ve never used Rakuten before, you can use this link to get $10 when making a qualified purchase of $25 when using Rakuten. You will also get whatever percent cashback is being offered from the site you are purchasing from. Sephora, typically has 4% cashback, through here. Ulta typically has 3%. These are just some of the companies on the website, but there are other major retailers on there as well!
Rakuten also has a Google Chrome extension that will tell you as soon as you log onto a site that has cashback with a little pop-up in the corner so that you can ensure you are saving money!
