In honor of the birth of Chen’s child, I figured I should finally post my unboxing of Chen Dear My Dear: The 2nd Mini Album for you all to look through. Chen is a truly talented musician, and he deserves all of the happiness in the world. Being a parent is a huge, wonderful step to take, and I’m so proud of him daring to come out saying that he is married and has a child. It is a step in the right direction for the K-Pop world.
I do also post reactions over on my YouTube Channel. I have also posted one for Chen Beautiful Goodbye, which you can watch below:
Since this post is actually an unboxing of the album, let’s actually talk about that. I picked up my copy of this album Music Plaza LA. You can get a copy here for $17.99, plus shipping. Additionally, if you have never used Music Plaza before, this link will get you an extra 5% off of your first purchase!
You can also order a copy of the album from an eBay, as they typically have good prices. This link will get you a copy for $27.98, plus free shipping. Plus, with eBay, you can save a little bit of money by using the E-Bates extension on your browser, as it will save you 2% on all album purchases, which definitely adds up. Most importantly, for older or more popular albums, eBay can have the album while other places do not.
What is E-Bates?
E-Bates is a cashback site that gives you money for purchases you may have already made. They even have an extension for multiple browsers so when you go to a website that uses Ebates, it will automatically pop up the cashback button to make sure you are saving money. I use this all the time, and I got over 80$ back from them for purchases I was going to make anyway. That’s about 3 more albums I can buy!
If you’ve never used EBates before, you can use this link to get $10 when making a qualified purchase of $25 when using EBates. You will also get whatever percent cashback is being offered from the site you are purchasing from. Sephora, typically has 4% cashback, through here. Sokoglam typically has 3%. These percentages Many other major retailers are on there as well.
Can I get it on Amazon?
Yes! You can pick up a copy using this link for about 22 dollars (not as good of a deal), with free shipping if you have Amazon Prime.
If you don’t have Amazon Prime, you can get a 30-day free trial using this link here. I will not lie, the free 2-day shipping, plus all of the free music and videos are totally worth it. I also now use it for books for my Kindle Paper White too, and it is honestly a lifesaver. They have a program called Kindle Unlimited where you can check out 10 books at a time, read them, and put them back in the Kindle library. The program costs $7.99 a month, and you get the first 30 days for free with this link.
Things to know about the Chen Dear My Dear: The 2nd Mini Album:
- There are 2 versions of this album:
- Blue
- Yellow
- Things that come with the album:
- CD
- Photobook (104 pages)
- Photocard (1out of 2, different for each version)
- Letter (different for each version)
- I really love the big text in English throughout the book. It makes the album much more accessible to international fans.
- The photos and the layout of them have a bit of an eccentric, photo album style layout. It makes the album feel more personal.
K-Points: 225/5
I really like how this album feels like you are just following Chen on a day in his life. EXO always produces all of these crazy, wonderful songs, but Chen always seems to be one of the more calm, zen members. Having his own mini-albums truly allows him to shine as an individual instead of just as an EXO member. I really enjoy that we get this glimpse into his life.
So should you get yourself a copy of this album? Although it is only a mini-album, I definitely think you should. The photo book is truly lovely and quite sweet and endearing. More importantly, the music on the album is absolutely beautiful. As such, if you can’t afford to buy an album, I highly recommend that you stream it.
What member of EXO is your favorite, K-Nuggets? Let me know in the comments below!
사랑합니다!
