Today, we are going to be talking about an older release that I think you all should add to your collection for a number of reasons, the main one being that SHINee is absolutely amazing and that they consistently produce great music. I know right now we are all mourning Jonghyun, and some of us, like myself are still in disbelief of what happened, but we also need to make sure that we are celebrating his career and all of the amazing music that he and the rest of the group put out.
Today’s release is Misconceptions of Us which is a repackage that combines both Dream Girl: The Misconceptions of You and Why So Serious: Misconceptions of Me. This is a combined Part 1 and 2 of SHINee’s 3rd album from 2014. And the music on it is amazing, as anything SHINee is (I’m not a Shawol AT ALL!) But let’s get right into the packaging so you know what you get.

Things to Know About the SHINee Misconceptions of Us Album:
- There is only 1 version of this. album, and it’s actually a box-set of Misconceptions of You and Misconceptions of Me, so it has both physical copies and photo books in it
- There is also a little center booklet that has a few images in it as well, but most of them will be in the actual CDs
- The photobooks in the albums are not very large, but the images are great. I particularly love the image of Key that you see in the slide show
- I personally did not get any photo cards with my copy, but I believe there might be versions out there with them
- There also was not a poster, which yet again I’m okay with because I have a whole pile of posters

So this album totally doesn’t have me hyperventilating, and it didn’t get me as excited as some of my other purchases, as it doesn’t have an absolutely massive photo book of the members or anything like that. That being said, I absolutely love the music on this album (and any SHINee album for that matter). In regards to the actual content of this album, I think it is absolutely necessary to add this album to your collection. I don’t think of SHINee how I think of other idol groups. I consider SHINee to be more artsy and avant garde than EXO, BTS or GOT7, and they’ve been that way for years. What you do get from this album is a closer look inside who the members are, as there are drawing that each person did in there, as well as some really interesting photos. It’s even better because you get to albums for the price of one!
Trust me on this, you will want this one in your collection.
