Day6 (데이식스) Moonrise Unboxing

day moonrise cover
The Covers of Both Versions. Golden Moon is on the left, and Silver Moon is on the right

I bought both versions of the Day6 Moonrise album. I did not pre-order it this time, although I totally should have because I truly am quite a big fan of Day6. So why did I not pre-order this album? I wasn’t sure if I would like it, which was honestly total nonsense. It’s okay, I had a momentary lapse in judgment. The mistake has been remedied because I bought the full album and I cannot stop listening to it.  누군가 필요해 ( I Need Somebody) is my jam. It’s one of those songs that you can blare when you are all by yourself and just jam out to… and then someone interrupts your jam sesh…. and you are all the shades of red… like the girl in EXO Next Door but paler.

I do a lot of my album shopping on Music Plaza LA. Additionally, if you have never used Music Plaza before, this link will get you an extra 5% off of your first purchase!

You can also order a copy of the album from an eBay, as they typically have good prices. Plus, with eBay, you can save a little bit of money by using the E-Bates extension on your browser, as it will save you 2% on all album purchases, which definitely adds up.

What is E-Bates?

E-Bates is a cashback site that gives you money for purchases you may have already made. They even have an extension for multiple browsers so when you go to a website that uses Ebates, it will automatically pop up the cashback button to make sure you are saving money. I use this all the time, and I got over 80$ back from them for purchases I was going to make anyway. That’s about 3 more albums I can buy!

If you’ve never used EBates before, you can use this link to get $10 when making a qualified purchase of $25 when using EBates. You will also get whatever percent cashback is being offered from the site you are purchasing from.  Sephora, typically has 4% cashback, through here. Sokoglam typically has 3%. These percentages Many other major retailers are on there as well.

The names of both versions of this album:

Both of these versions were released in early December, and the album does have album exclusive tracks that you will not be able to find on streaming platforms. The album also compiles all of the Every DAY6 song releases from the second half of the year. The first half were released in the summer with Sunrise. The album has 18 tracks, 5 of which are album exclusive tracks.

Things you should know about the albums:
  • Things that come with the album:
    • CD
    • CD sleeve
    • Photobook
    • Photostrip (2 out of 15 per album)
    • Lenticular card
    • 5 foldout posters per album
  • There is no pre-order benefit, so all things you see featured in the slide show should be available still.
  • There are 6 potential posters you can get. A full group poster and then there are posters of each individual member. If you have a particular member you prefer, please check out my post on where I buy my K-Goods to see what the best options are for you to get your preferred member.
  • The jumping over the moon see-through cards are identical in both versions of the albums
  • The Photo strips in that you see off on the left in the photos. Each album comes with 2, and the backs of them are part of a bigger photo. If you want to get all 15, go for it.

K-Points: 400 mg

If you can only buy one version of this album, I personally would recommend the Silver Moon version, mainly due to the fact that I love the cover of it better. It’s dark, and emo, just like my soul. I also like the design of the CD better in that one. In regards to the photo books, there is not one that I would choose over the other. All of the photos are extremely well done. The boys all seem super contemplative in both albums, and I love that. Why smile when you can look hot, right?

The reason this is getting a 400 mg rating (higher than what I gave my Got7 7 for 7 album unboxing) is for starters, it offers you more than you can find elsewhere. There are 5 extra tracks on the physical album that you cannot get by just listening to the album online. On top of that, because I didn’t pre-order this album, and ordered it after it was released because the music was just that good, I was much more excited when it arrived in the mail, and just as thrilled with the music.

I feel like I get my money’s worth buying the physical copy of this album, and I have no regrets buying both versions They have impressed me so much with the album. I hope going forward into 2018, even though Every Day6 isn’t going on that the band continues to impress me with their artistry.

Until next time K-Nuggets.

사랑합니다!
