It’s been quite some time since I did a makeup post dedicated to a product from Kaja Beauty. That being said it is a brand that I enjoy, especially their Bento Bouncy Eye Shimmer Trios which is a line that has rapidly expanded since
Things to know about Kaja Beauty Wink Stamp:
This product is formulated with the following ingredients that are good for your skin:
- EthylHexyl Glycerin is an ingredient that boosts the anti-microbial properties of other ingredients as well as prevents the need of large amounts of preservatives in your product. Since this goes near your eye, this is incredibly important for the formula.
- Avocado Fruit Extract is an ingredient that is rich in vitamin B & E, as well as fatty acids. In this formula, this ingredient was definitely added to prevent the formula from being too drying.
- Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract (Green Tea Leaf Extract) is an antioxidant that can be linked to reducing the risk of skin cancer. It also has anti-inflammatory, anti-aging, acne-fighting, and hydrating properties. It is a true skincare superstar.
This product is formulated with the following ingredients that are “bad”* for your skin:
- Carbon Black is a known carcinogen that can cause cancer in large amounts, and it also happens to be the ingredient that gives this product its color! This ingredient is made from the incomplete combustion of petroleum products. That being said, this ingredient before it is put into your cosmetics has to go through a refinement process to remove as many impurities as possible. This refinement process can limit the carcinogens in the product, but it still may be worth finding an alternative.
- Phenoxyethanol is a preservative that is known to be a known allergen and irritant. In this formula, it is in an incredibly low concentration, so I don’t anticipate it to be problematic. Additionally, it is an ingredient that should not be used by pregnant women.
K-Points: 6/10
So, for beauty reviews, unlike my album unboxings, I will be much harsher on because this can directly impact your health, where buying K-Pop albums does not. It just impacts your wallet. As such, all of my beauty reviews will be out of 10 points. I will not be going over that number.
So here is what I like about this product:
- I like how dark of black the product is
- I like how it tries to simplify a part of our beauty routine that many hate
- I like the packaging
- The formula is paraben and phthalate-free
- It is also cruelty-free (as all Korean cosmetics have to be)
Here is what I don’t like:
- This product forces people to use one, very particular wing shape, which doesn’t necessarily look good on everyone, including me.
- I find the stamp a bit gimmicky
- The product takes quite a bit of time to adjust to
- Quite frankly, I don’t reach for this eyeliner over any of my other ones.
- The brush tip is quite hard (I like a little bit more movement)
- It only comes in black.
What are the Koreans saying?
I was digging through reviews on 화해**, a Korean skincare app that lists out the ingredients of products from many brands for people to look through as well as post reviews. There are not many reviews of this product on 화해, but I did find one that was quite thorough. The user said:
- They like how black the black is
- They found the pen to be quite hard, but they personally liked that.
- They don’t like that it doesn’t come in brown, only black
- Based off of the photos, like me, they didn’t use the stamp at all, just the liner
Where can you get this?
Whenever I buy K-Beauty, I do shop at a couple of different places. If you want to see all of the places that I shop at, you can check them all out here. I picked this up off of Sephora for 25$. With Sephora, you can also use Rakuten for cash back off of your purchases on their site.
What is Rakuten?
Rakuten is a cashback site that gives you money for purchases you may have already made. They even have an extension for multiple browsers so when you go to a website that uses Rakuten, it will automatically pop up the cashback button to make sure you are saving money. I use this all the time, and I got over 80$ back from them for purchases I was going to make anyway. That’s about 3 more albums I can buy!
If you’ve never used Rakuten before, you can use this link to get $10 when making a qualified purchase of $25 when using Rakuten. You will also get whatever percent cashback is being offered from the site you are purchasing from. Sephora, typically has 4% cashback, through here. Ulta typically has 3%. These are just some of the companies on the website, but there are other major retailers are on there as well!
Rakuten also has a Google Chrome extension that will tell you as soon as you log onto a site that has cashback with a little pop-up in the corner, so that you can ensure you are saving money!

*I put bad in quotes here because everything is subjective. Just because an ingredient that may have some amount of research on it that it can cause issues in the skin exists in a product says nothing about how it is processed and refined when making the product. It also says nothing about where that particular ingredient came from and the quality of that ingredient. It’s just like with cooking you can have all the same ingredients to start, but depending on what you do with those ingredients, you can get two completely different end products. Liah Yoo, Youtuber and now the owner of the brand Krave Beauty, made an excellent video talking about this. You can watch that here.
