When winter comes around, my skin begins to seriously dehydrate and turn into the Sahara Desert. It begins to dry out, get rough, and my skin becomes incredibly sensitive. When this happens, I like to pull out my calming and hydrating superstars. The Huangjisoo Mugwort Rescue Soothing Pad is a new product I’m adding to that list.
Things to know about the Huangjisoo Mugwort Rescue Soothing Pad:
This product is formulated with the following ingredients that are good for your skin:
- Artemisia Princeps (Sea Mugwort) Extract is the star ingredient of this product and it is known for improving dry skin and dermatitis
- Centella Asiatica Extract is known for it’s anti-inflammatory properties and anti-oxidant properties
- Mung Bean Seed Extract is an ingredient used for wound healing and dermatitis
- Chamomile Extract is another skin-calming ingredient that helps troubled skin
This product is formulated with the following ingredients that are “bad” for your skin:
- Fragrance is in this product, but it wasn’t very obvious, nor did it cause me any issues. But, if you must go fragrance free, this product does have it.
K-Points: 10/10
So, for beauty reviews, unlike my album unboxings, I will be much harsher on because this can directly impact your health, where buying K-Pop albums does not. It just impacts your wallet. As such, all of my beauty reviews will be out of 10 points. I will not be going over that number.
This product is one that I pulled out of my stash when it was going through a really rough patch. It was dry and irritated to the point that it was peeling, and this product was one of the ones that helped save it. When my skin gets to that point, I do my best to not wash my skin unless absolutely necessary because it hurts it even more. These pads for prevented me from having to wash my face frequently and just allow it’s oils to do their work.
What are the Koreans saying?
I was digging through reviews on 화해**, a Korean skincare app that lists out the ingredients of products from many brands for people to look through as well as post reviews. There aren’t many reviews on Hwahae for this, but the one that is on here has it right in the middle, at 3 out of 5 stars. The reason for this is because the fragrance in it caused some skin irritation. I loved this product and thought it helped, but if your skin is even more sensitive than mine, I can see that being a problem. I will still buy this product again.
Where Can I Buy It?
Whenever I buy K-Beauty, I do shop at a couple of different places. If you want to see all of the places that I shop at, you can check them all out here. I don’t remember where I picked this product up at, but you can get it here on Amazon. There are also a number of other sites that you can get this on, a number of which use Rakuten to help you save a little money.
What is Rakuten?
Rakuten is a cashback site that gives you money for purchases you may have already made. They even have an extension for multiple browsers so when you go to a website that uses Rakuten, it will automatically pop up the cashback button to make sure you are saving money. I use this all the time, and I got over 80$ back from them for purchases I was going to make anyway. That’s about 3 more albums I can buy!
If you’ve never used Rakuten before, you can use this link to get $10 when making a qualified purchase of $25 when using Rakuten. You will also get whatever percent cashback is being offered from the site you are purchasing from. Sephora, typically has 4% cashback, through here. Ulta typically has 3%. These are just some of the companies on the website, but there are other major retailers are on there as well!
Rakuten also has a Google Chrome extension that will tell you as soon as you log onto a site that has cashback with a little pop-up in the corner, so that you can ensure you are saving money!
