If my post on Wednesday did not make you aware already, I am a huge fan of 슈퍼주니어 (Super Junior). They are strange people with awesome personalities, and I love them that much. So, naturally, when they came out with new packaging of the Super Junior Play album, The Pause Version, I had to get it…. cause Black Suit is my jam and is stuck in my head about 50% of my waking hours… Sleeping hours are all occupied by Yesung’s solo work (It is the best to fall asleep to).
I do a lot of my album shopping on Music Plaza LA. Additionally, if you have never used Music Plaza before, this link will get you an extra 5% off of your first purchase!
You can also order a copy of the album from an eBay, as they typically have good prices. Plus, with eBay, you can save a little bit of money by using the E-Bates extension on your browser, as it will save you 2% on all album purchases, which definitely adds up.
What is E-Bates?
E-Bates is a cashback site that gives you money for purchases you may have already made. They even have an extension for multiple browsers so when you go to a website that uses Ebates, it will automatically pop up the cashback button to make sure you are saving money. I use this all the time, and I got over 80$ back from them for purchases I was going to make anyway. That’s about 3 more albums I can buy!

You will also get whatever percent cashback is being offered from the site you are purchasing from. Sephora, typically has 4% cashback, through here. Sokoglam typically has 3%. This album is a repackage of the original and features a bonus track that is a physical album exclusive from SuperJunior K.R.Y, R & Y (Ryeowook & Kyuhyun) are both off doing their mandatory military service requirement, and only Yesung is currently an “active” member. I put active in quotes because the others are still members, just on a 22-month hiatus.
Things to note about the Super Junior Play (Pause Version):
- When they repackaged it, they included both photo books from the original album. The two photo books are:
- One More Chance
- Black Suit
- The physical CD is actually on the front cover of the album. It is held very securely, but make sure you are careful with it.
- The front of the album is, in fact, a record player.
- There is one photo card in the bottom that is a letter to fans from either Kyuhyun or Ryeowook. It’s cute. I approve. There are no photos of these members in the photo book.
- Both photo books are crack. The photos are so well done in both books.
- All of the images feature outfits that I believe were used in the music videos for One More Chance and Black Suit.
- Members in the album: Yesung, Donghae, Eunhyuk, Siwon, Heechul, Shindong, and Leeteuk.
- You can purchase the album with a poster. There are 7 versions, one for each member. I have the Yesung one, but it isn’t featured here because it made it on my wall so I can stare at it all day.

Okay, this album is an extremely well thought out repackage. It includes one additional, physical album exclusive track. The packaging is brilliant. They included a message from the members in the military, and they included the photo books from the initial release. These photo books are so gorgeous that I still hyperventilate when I look at the photos, and this is a few weeks after I bought the album. When I look at the album, I still feel my heart racing in my chest. It’s so beautifully done that it makes me want to cry. It doesn’t even matter that Yesung is my ultimate bias for this album. It truly is just that well done.
If you are looking for an amazing album to add to your collection, I highly recommend this one. For starters, you do not need the previous two versions because this has everything you would find in those because it includes both photobooks. The only things that are different are the member’s cards, and the “One More Chance” version has CDs with the members’ faces on them. Is that worth buying the other versions? I believe not, as this version has more music, more photos, and a little taste of Ryeowook and Kyuhyun.
Quite frankly, this is one of the best done album packages that I have ever seen, and it is special in every single way.
