You cannot go wrong with anything that G-Dragon has ever done. His music is simply iconic and perfection from start to finish, So, I have been working on adding his music to my collection, including the amazing Coup D’État Album. Things to know about the G-Dragon Coup D’État Album:
Released as a physical album on September 2nd, 2013, Coup D’État is G-Dragon’s second studio album. It held the number one spot on the Weekly Gaon Album Chart and it was the first K-Pop album and artist to hold multiple spots on the Billboard 200. Featuring 5 singles, including the famous song “Crooked”. The song, as of the time this post was written has amassed 223 million views. Plus, it sold over 200,000 copies in Korea and held the 9th spot on the 2019 Gaon Album Chart – a feat that isn’t easily acheivable.

Since this is an older album, from 2013, I’m not going to judge it in comparison to the albums of today. I don’t expect an album this old to have the same contents that we see in albums nowadays. Yes, it is more simple. Yes, it is a jewel case. Both things I don’t feel passionately about but, this album defined a whole generation of K-Pop music though. It is truly iconic and still one of hte best K-Pop albums I’ve ever heard.

What is Rakuten?
