Whenever I started originally listening to BTS, I never imagined that they would grow into the global phenomenon that they are today. Although I love the positive vibes that they are sending out with their music these days, I still think you can never go wrong with their earlier music. So when I realized that BTS Wings: The Second Full Album was missing from my collection, I immediately picked up every copy. Keep reading to find out what comes with the album, my thoughts, and where you can pick up a copy.
Things to know about the BTS Wings Album:
After a month of promotional buildup, WINGS was released with the title track 피 땀 눈물 (Blood Sweat and Tears) on October 10th, 2016. The music video broke the record for the fastest K-pop music video to reach 10 million views. The title track also quickly received an “all kill” by being number 1 on all 3 major music charts in Korea simultaneously. This album also broke multiple records on US Billboard album charts as the highest-charting and best-selling K-Pop album in the United States for the time. Quite frankly, I would say this album (and Jimin’s exposed shoulder) mark the beginning of their career in the US.

Honestly, this album is up there in the list of one of my favorite BTS albums to have ever come out. There was a time when I would listen to this album on repeat. Nowadays, I still listen to it, and it is an excellent car or walking album. Completely recommend this.
If you want to watch me fangirl, I do also post reactions over on my YouTube Channel. I have posted one for BTS ON, which you can watch below:
So should you get yourself a copy of this album? I completely think it is worth it. This is the first album from BTS where they each had solo songs, and every song on the album is excellent. That being said, there is also a repackage of this album, You Never Walk Alone, so if you can find a copy of that, I would get that instead.
Where Can I Buy It?
I picked up my copy of this album Music Plaza LA. You can get a copy here for $22.99, plus shipping. Additionally, if you have never used Music Plaza before, this link will get you an extra 5% off of your first purchase! You can also order a copy of the album from eBay, as they typically have good prices. This link will help you with your search. Plus, with eBay, you can save a little bit of money by using the Rakuten extension on your browser, as it will save you 2% on all album purchases, which definitely adds up.
What is Rakuten?
Rakuten is a cashback site that gives you money for purchases you may have already made. They even have an extension for multiple browsers so when you go to a website that uses Rakuten, it will automatically pop up the cashback button to make sure you are saving money. I use this all the time, and I got over $80 back from them for purchases I was going to make anyway. That’s about 3 more albums I can buy!
If you’ve never used Rakuten before, you can use this link to get $10 when making a qualified purchase of $25 when using Rakuten. You will also get whatever percent cashback is being offered from the site you are purchasing from. Sephora, typically has 4% cashback, through here. Ulta typically has 3%. These are just some of the companies on the website, but there are other major retailers on there as well!
Rakuten also has a Google Chrome extension that will tell you as soon as you log onto a site that has cashback with a little pop-up in the corner so that you can ensure you are saving money!
Can I get it on Amazon?
Yes! You can pick up a copy using this link for about 22 dollars, with free shipping if you have Amazon Prime. If you don’t have Amazon Prime, you can get a 30-day free trial using this link here. I will not lie, the free 2-day shipping, plus all of the free music and videos are totally worth it. I also now use it for books for my Kindle Paper White too, and it is honestly a lifesaver. They have a program called Kindle Unlimited where you can check out 10 books at a time, read them, and put them back in the Kindle library. The program costs $7.99 a month, and you get the first 30 days for free with this link.
