Okay guys, this is the album that started it all for me. This is the album that had me fall in love with K-Pop. This is the album that had me trying to figure out how all these men were so beautiful. This is the album that made me realize a lot of things about my life that I had never noticed before. Today, we are talking about EXO’s third full album, Ex’Act.
Things to know about this album:
Ex’act, the 3rd Studio Album from EXO was released on June 9th, 2016. The first album where they would be simultaneously promoting 2 singles at one time: “Lucky One” and “Monster”. “Lucky One” boasts 78 million views and peaked at number 5 on the Gaon Album Charts and 3 on the US Billboard World Digital Songs Chart. “Monster”, boasts 478 million views on Youtube and peaked at 1 on the Gaon Album Charts and the US Billboard World Digital Songs Chart. The latter single is also the reason that this blog exists today. 그래서 이 노래는 정말 이 블로거의 마음 가까이에 있어요 (Translation: this song is very near and dear to this blogger’s heart).

This album has a very special place in my heart as the album that totally shook up my world. To be honest, the photos in the monster version are all, well, I don’t know if I can say it in a PG way…. I look at them and I just melt. Like this is the era where I had issues deciding who my favorite was, as this was before I settled on Chanyeol. First it was Baekhyun, then it was Sehun, then it was back to Beakhyun, and then it officially became Chanyeol. He had some stiff competition for a while though! Honestly, this album, and Monster are just a freaking awesome concept.
Do you need a copy? Yes, but you can just get the repackage. I personally think the photos in this version are better. If you are going to buy a copy of this album which should you buy? Monster version. I looked at the Lucky One photos and I don’t like them as much, but I need them…. because EXO. Can you just stream the album? Absolutely! It is still really good! I love the whole thing (although some tracks weren’t as good as others).
