Where to Buy Korean Products

As you all may or may not have noticed, I happen to have a pretty large K-Pop collection that extends into some of the other products like little figurines and stuff like that.

What I want to do is share with you all of the places that I buy most of this stuff, cause there are a lot of them. I’m going to separate this into categories of products so that if you are looking for a particular product, you can find it far more easily in the post. I will also make sure that I update this page as I come across some other good places for you to find things.

One thing I do want to note first before going into all of this is that a couple of the sites that I’m going to mention below do have a partnership with Rakuten to give you a discount for shopping on their website.

What is Rakuten?

Rakuten is a cashback site that gives you money for purchases you may have already made. They even have an extension for multiple browsers so when you go to a website that uses Rakuten, it will automatically pop up the cashback button to make sure you are saving money. I use this all the time, and I got over $80 back from them for purchases I was going to make anyway. That’s about 3 more albums I can buy!

If you’ve never used Rakuten before, you can use this link to get $10 when making a qualified purchase of $25 when using Rakuten. You will also get whatever percent cashback is being offered from the site you are purchasing from.  Sephora, typically has 4% cashback, through here. Ulta typically has 3%. These are just some of the companies on the website, but there are other major retailers on there as well!

Rakuten also has a Google Chrome extension that will tell you as soon as you log onto a site that has cashback with a little pop-up in the corner so that you can ensure you are saving money!

K-Pop Albums

There are 3 main places at this moment in time where I get a lot of my albums:

Amazon

Amazon actually has a number of sellers of K-Pop albums, and they are great for when you are trying to “backfill” parts of your collection, especially when you are trying to find albums that were released like 5 or 6 years ago, and you live in an area that doesn’t have any sort of Korean bookstore.  If you have Amazon Prime, and the album is Prime Eligible, it’s even better because you can have K-Pop right at your door it like 2 days.

Amazon is also pretty good for preorders. If I had to pick a seller on Amazon that I place most of my pre-orders with, it is KPOP MARKET. They ship quickly, straight out of Korea, and I typically have the item within a week and a half. They are typically a few bucks more expensive than most US sellers, but I’ve observed that they are faster and they actually including the shipping in the cost straight off the bat. A downside to ordering off of a lot of Amazon sellers: the posters are typically folded unless otherwise noted, and you cannot really request specific group members for items.

E-bay*

E-bay is great as well for finding new albums and various merchandise. They have a ton of reputable sellers on there, some in the US, some in Korea, and you can easily find a variety of different stuff there. If you are searching for unfolded posters, it will be 10 times faster to find them here, and they usually ship pretty quickly. The one sellers on E-bay that I frequent is GrapeMusicCD who are based directly out of Korea. GrapeMusicCD is excellent for finding things that might be a little bit more unconventional, like tour goods (they have a MASSIVE selection), or a specific version of an album you are looking for,  like a specific member. I feel their prices are usually fair, but you will totally get hit on the international shipping here, and it has to come all the way from Korea. So think wisely before ordering from them. KpopstoreinUSA9, since they are a US seller, have a little bit more reasonable shipping (as most of the time it is free), they stock unfolded posters and they do have a number of older albums, as well as some standard and autographed albums *gasps*. I, quite frankly, could scroll through both sellers for hours to see what’s out there

Music Plaza

A Korean Music shop based out of LA, Music Plaza is where I purchase almost all of my albums from. One thing that I like about them is that they actually have a rewards program, which means you can get discounts on albums from there! As someone who buys quite a few music albums, this is very important to me. I want to make sure I’m getting the best price possible, as well as ensure that I feel appreciated and thanked for shopping through that seller. On top of that, after my first purchase, I immediately got a separate e-mail from their customer support team to thank me for shopping there and asking if I had any questions. This link will get you 5% off of your first purchase.

SM Global Shop

This is actually an official SM Merchandise Store, based out of the US where fans can get gear for all of their favorite SM Groups: Super Junior, SHINee, TVXQ, Girls’ Generation, EXO, NCT, Red Velvet and f(x). They have lots of fun exclusive shirts, hats and accessories that are officially licensed by SM. On top of that, you can get albums and lightsticks there too. They are very reasonably priced. You do have to pay for shipping under a certain dollar value on your cart. Most. of the time, if your. order is 100$ plus, shipping is free. On top of that, you are able to return products if they are damaged or do not meet your standards. Thus far, I am impressed with them. They have a reward program in place so you can save a bit of money in the long run. This link will get you $5 off your purchase.

K-Dramas

When streaming TVs, I stream from a number of places, as there is not one location that has all of the shows that I like.

There are 4 main sites that I stream from:

Kocowa

This is a collaboration between the 3 major broadcasting stations in Korea: SBS, MBC, and KBS. This is a more recently launched streaming service, as it was only added back in July. I go on here because a number of my TV shows started to magically disappear from DramaFever and only be available on here. I have a feeling that in the long run, a number of shows from the main three broadcasting companies (and maybe some other ones will join later) will be exclusively available on Kocowa.  Do I like Kocowa? Absolutely. They are probably the FASTEST site at getting all of my dramas up after they air with professionally translated subtitles. That being said, many of the shows that you can watch on Kocowa are also available on Viki, as they were able to strike a deal with Viki in order to continue streaming things from those channels

On-Demand Korea

ODK is the site I use to fill in the remaining gaps that I’m missing, as they have a lot of Variety shows that I cannot find elsewhere. The main one initially was 아는 형님 (Knowing Brothers) which I TOTALLY binge-watch while doing work at the office. They also get a lot of shows from smaller channels like xTVN (yay Super TV) It hilarious, You all need to watch it. I believe this site is translated by the community, but the translations are typically quite good, and they are compatible with Chromecast and Roku. Woo.

Viki

This is one of the main streaming platforms for K-Dramas that I have been using for quite some time at this point. They have a ton of shows on there for everyone to watch, and I’m always finding something new I want to see on here.

Netflix

This is an obvious one, as they are one of the biggest movie providers out there. On top of that, they are now buying and producing their own K-Dramas and Variety shows now too! The show Bustedwith Yoo Jae Suk and Oh Sehun in it is exclusive to Netflix. It’s good. I enjoyed it, and you will too.

Clothing

There are 4 main places that I typically get my K-Gear from:

Amazon

I don’t really have any particular sellers that I go to off of here, I just buy what I like, like a GOT7 Sweatshirt with galaxy print behind it. In general, on Amazon you can buy a lot of different goods for cheap. That being said, a lot of them come out from China and the artists won’t get any credit from your purchase. For that reason, of late, I have been doing my best to only buy official merchandise from verified sellers. You can find some cute stuff here. though.

Red Bubble

This is a creator site where people make designs of things that they want to sell, and you can buy them. I personally buy a lot of notebooks and stickers off of here. I have never bought any T-Shirts off of here though, just stickers and notebooks. The best thing about this site: Some of the designs are super weird. Like I found one on there of Woozi from Seventeen with a plant sprout sticking out of his head…. super strange, but I had to buy it for my friend. If you want something super weird and unique that makes you bust out laughing when you look at it, check here. They honestly have everything.

Kore Limited

Although Kore is not technically a K-Pop shop it is a store where you will see a number of items that Korean celebrities have actually purchased. It also happens to be my favorite place to buy street clothes. People like Jessi, Jay, Park, Big Matthew and Korean Englishman have all bought gear from here, and you can see them wear it in their posts. JREKML also owns a number of items from here that you will see him wearing in videos. Additionally, they are a small company based out of LA that come out with a lot of really cool designs. For that reason, most of the sweatshirts you will see me wear in my Youtube Videos that aren’t official merchandise are. from here.

Privé NY

This is a clothing brand where all of their clothing is actually designed by 변백현 (Baekhyun) of EXO. Everything I have bought from here is of amazing quality. It is made of the softest cotton I have ever felt! One thing to note about Privé NY is that their clothing is a fashion brand, so everything is cut small, and sleeves are all very long. Additionally, they are pretty expensive. Please, please, please be careful of that when shopping from there, as their clothing may not work for some builds.

K-Beauty

K-Beauty is not something that I just buy something willy-nilly, as I totally shop around for what will be perfect for my skin. Obviously, what is perfect for my skin, may not be perfect for your skin. If you know absolutely nothing about your skin, I highly recommend that you start by reading Charlotte Cho’s The Little Book of Skincare. It is a fast, easy enjoyable read, and it also is a great reference when you are beginning to get into taking care of your skin and figuring out what is right for you, especially because your skin can change with the time of year and as you age, you will discover new problems popping up. I will not rant about my skin here, and what all I have tried, instead, at a later date, I will write a blog post on it.

Here are the main places that I buy all of my K-Beauty products from:

Sokoglam

This is honestly one of the best sites to find products and learn about your skin, as not only is it a shop where you can purchase products that Charlotte Cho and her team personally tested, but they also have it linked into a blog and a YouTube channel where they go into a lot of detail regarding the active ingredient in products and what they do for your skin. The main reason I love this site is that they really help you with making an educated purchase on any product you plan on buying.  I do have a 20% off coupon for all of you on your first order on there that will help with some of the cost.

Amazon

Amazon is great when I am either repurchasing products, or when they go unavailable on one site, but I really need it now.  You can really find some good deals on K-Beauty on Amazon as well, as they sometimes offer things on there for way cheaper than I will find on SokoGlam when I don’t have a coupon. The issue with Amazon, as most seller marketplaces are that you can’t be 100% how reliable the person you are purchasing the product from is. If it is prime shipping eligible, I don’t usually worry about it as much, but 3rd party seller can be a little bit more iffy, as I have definitely had experiences with somewhere they do not follow through.

Facetory

A Korean-inspired brand, Facetoryis actually a sheet mask subscription website that I am in love with.  They have 2 sheet mask subscriptions that they curate each month the Four-Ever Fresh that has 4 sheet masks and the Seven-Lux that has 7 different sheet masks (slightly more expensive ones). I personally get the Seven-Lux subscription, and love getting it every month, as I am a sheet mask addict. It really helps me find new sheet masks to love and repurchase. Also, they give you a card every month with details on the masks, and they even have a shop where you can repurchase all of the masks you tried. If you are interested in trying it out, I do have a discount code for you guys that you can use here.

StyleKorean

StyleKorean is a website with hundreds of Korean Brands, and it is a place where I get my K-Beauty from frequently. They always have excellent sales, and there is almost always some kind of brand sale going on. When they do have brand sales, the deals are excellent, and you can get almost the whole brand for a fraction of the cost. I highly recommend that you make an account with them, sign up for their e-mails, and wait until you get a notice about a brand going on sale before buying it.

Olive Young

Another Korean-based online mall is one of the other stores that I shop at frequently. They have a TON of brands and is one of Korea’s top K-beauty stores. It’s basically their equivalent of Ulta and Sephora. Olive young has lots of really great deals and even has Korean style 1+1 and 2+1 sales. On top of all of that, they offer free gifts with purchase relatively frequently, so it is also definitely worth becoming a member there, just so you can know what the upcoming sales are.

Additionally, Sephora and Ulta have gotten a number of Korean makeup brands into their stores, such as La Neige, Mamonde, and Innisfree. Although they all have the same parent company, these brands have a lot of really good products I would recommend you to try.

Feel free to comment if you have any questions, K-Nuggets!

사랑합니다!
